Stopped in at 8:05 to get a regular sub (no fries and no drink). Asked for it “for here”. They close at 9. Sub ready 7-8 mins later and one guy goes to the back and after a couple minutes they say “you need to take this to go since we close at 9”. It’s maybe 8:15. I laughed and said fine. It’s one thing if I came in at 8:50 when they close at 9. Everyone knows their cheesesteaks are not the same to go — a ton of their melted cheese comes off on the wrapper with how they wrap it. It’s why I always dine in at PS. Not trying to be difficult. The 3 high school / college kids just wanted to blare their loud music that was on when I walked in. They had donatos and BW3 everywhere on half the dining tables. I get to my car and it’s missing pizza sauce — which has now happened 3 times in a row from this location. I was their only order at the time. It’s not hard to make something correct. I walked back in and apparently hurt the one guys feelings asking for sides of pizza sauce to have it the way I ordered it. He slams them on the counter and doesn’t say anything or look at me. I didn’t even need an apology. Just didn’t need the attitude like I did something wrong. These guys don’t care about having things accurate or wanting customers to come back. I even donated to their charity/foundation when I paid. I won’t be back and would encourage everyone else to be wary of...
Read moreI’ve been going to Penn Station regularly for 20+ years. This is the worst one I’ve ever been to and it’s not close.
After ordering there was one person waiting on her food and two people eating in. I got my food (two subs and a med fry) in about 20 minutes. My father-in-law ordered two small subs and a large fry right after me and took almost 40 minutes. They messed up my fry size and forgot a side that I stressed to them because I knew they would forget. My father in law’s food (2 small subs and large fry) must have came out three different times as the employees had no clue what was going on. His large fry got replaced three times as it just sat there while the food was not being bagged and given out.
More people came in and 2/4 people there got the wrong food.
I could go on and on about my experience, but I’m assuming they are working with new staff like most places so I’ll give them the benefit of doubt. If you are the owner of this place, if you regularly run business like this there is no chance you will last. Penn Station is not a place where people will wait 20-40 min for their food when there is literally less than five people...
Read moreListen, I have been a nurse through COVID. Over the last 5 years I’ve watched healthcare and everything else crumble due to staffing and work performance…. You know, integrity. When I got home from picking up our order I told my husband I was refreshed for the next generation! Rachel and Carson (I believe 🤞🏻) were the only 2 working while DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers sat silently stalking them. After 5 years of life, I braced for the worst, but was so impressed with these 2…. Grinding! Overwhelmed with orders? Nope, smile and work….. together! I told them as a former nurse manager if all my staff could work together like that, I’d probably still be one! Honestly, plan to call hopefully a manager at some point to share! Left that much of a refreshing...
