Being new to the area, we were hesitant to try LaMar's due to the reviews. However, being tired of air-filled, sugar-circles that Walmart calls "donuts," I decided to confirm the complaints or create my own review. I am feeding a family of 6. Only after 3 hours of debate, a death match with lions, and multiple eye rolls can we purchase a pizza on a given night. Donuts are usually a similar experience but shortened because my kids won't get up early enough for the debate portion. Once I got to LaMar's in Liberty, I realized I was making a good decision as there were about 20 other people making the same one. Safety in numbers didn't fail me on this adventure. I purchased 15 donuts for just over $19. These consisted of iced red velvet cake, twists, glazed, and custard-filled. Walmart price, nope. Walmart quality, nope. My 9 y/o boy is pickier than a vegan 14 y/o girl in a deli. He tried for the first time, and then inhaled, the red velvet donuts. The twists were so large they required their own bags as the box was just too small to contain them. The custard-filled donuts were massive round orbs that nearly caused guilt in my heart - but I managed. All in all, I believe these were great donuts and reasonably priced. They got my family filled and zero complaints. We'll...
Read moreIt shouldn’t matter if a person has a standing order. If they, do then your people should have it ready. I drive from ambassador drive area thru liberty every Monday. When I stop at Lamar’s (it’s closer then Blue Spring Lamar). I sometimes get a couple of boxes or a bag. I am ready to pay, the girl at the counter dropped everything, ignored me, and was getting that guys order. Had a conversation , looking at her, then she decided to tell me, it will only take a couple of seconds, well it’s been a couple of seconds , those seconds she could have rang up my order. I walked out, then I walked back and said I was ready to pay, the other young punk from the back said it’s a standing order. If I was there first and ready to pay no matter how big or small my order is. I should be able to pay first. The standing order should have been ready. Now I know nothing is going to be done, unless I was the standing order person, but shouldn’t I matter, even if I get a bag or a couple of boxes? Now I have to fine another donut place. Maybe i should charge your company for my gas, to drive to Blue Springs. they more of a variety anyways....much more friendly than Liberty. I am sure you don't care, due to...
Read moreLiberty Lamars Donuts needs to change their names to DINKY DONUTS!! They make the most iddy bitty donuts on the planet...ON PURPOSE!!! They know that they are soposed to make them bigger but they want to save money so they use less batter than all the other Lamars locations. But they still charge you the same amount as all the other locations!! I guess they think because they are the ONLY ones around liberty and people have no other Lamars to go to that they can get away with shrinking the donut size and still charge the same amount. That's why they are only open until noon and they don't even bother to make more donuts when they run out before noon! If you don't believe me...just take a drive to blue springs Lamars or any other Lamars and you will see the donut size is three times LARGER than the Liberty locatiin. Plus the other locations are open until 2 pm and have a huge supply of donuts! Don't waste your money at Liberty Lamars Donuts! They...
