Downing's — Restaurant in Libertyville

I went to Downings various times with great hospitality, but the visit on 05/03/2019 ((8:00pm-9:00pm) was the worst ever. I asked the bar man to give me a $10 shot, and he poured me some bottom shelf (Nikolai) vodka and was attempting to charge me ($12 - the full price of KettleOne . I was watching him pour the NiKolai into my glass at this point

When I asked him why he gave me bottom shelf vodka for the price of Kettle, he got very confrontational and aggressive with me. I tried to difuse the situation about him trying to rip me off, but he was very confrontational - and didnt want to talk to me. I left him a $2 tip, but after I asked him how his day was - and he made a rude comment of "leave me alone" I took my tip back from the bar table.... THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT DOWNINGS.... PLEASE FIND...

I DON'T RECOMMEND HERE.

Expected better service. The bar was full but not the rest of the place. The people at the bar had their food and drinks and some had paid for their meal. We still waited for 20 minutes.

They didn't come to us we had to go to the bar to get drinks. Then we had to get our food from the bar to bring to our area.

I think the only thing good about this place was the food.

Expect to not get any drinks at this bar if you're brown. My friends and I patiently waited for drinks while the bartenders got drinks for everyone and that's fine. It's not the first racist bar we've been to. But Megan or Morgan, whatever her name is, when she heard my friend complain about the 30 minutes it took to get a beer she kicked us out. I just hope my people don't spend another dime at this extremely trashy...
