Joey's Italian Deli & Subs — Restaurant in Lima

Stop in there today my second time .I will travel 4 hrs to go get hotdogs .it's my favorite in the world .my experience the second time wasn't good.the cashier didn't hear nothing I ask for .her focus was taking my order n moving me out the way.with out truly making sure I got wht I ask for .so I drove all the way back to work n set down to eat n it's wasn't what I wanted ..I took it back because my love for hotdogs is very high .as I took the hotdogs back the cashier behind the boss or manger .she was giving me the dirtiest look rolling her eyes at me .I spent about 12 dollars plus a trip for these hotdogs ..I will go back because of the other staff was pleasant.n I love hotdogs ..but I will not let her take my order or make my food .people like tht just might harm your food .the look she gave me I will...

I recently stopped in for a Joeys Sub . Disappointed to see that the original light, soft, airy buns were replaced with dense, gritty, hard cheesesteak like buns. Ive been eating these subs for 50 years or more and sadly I wont be back. ( unless they switch back that is) Im not sure why people feel the need to “tweak” an iconic sandwich in Lima, when it didnt need fixed, but I see it happen all too often. That being said, if the change was made to bring what they thought would be a better sandwich, we appreciate your thoughtfullness, but you totally struck out with this change. Asked for no salt or pepper and they put extra on it. It just seemed as if the little girl was doing it to be a jerk. I even asked her again to please make sure she does not put any on it. By the time I unwrapped it I was already on the road back home, i turn around to return it and they were closed. Doesn't make sense to close so early in the day when you don't even open til later in the morning. The original guys were always so pleasant. Not my company not my decision, just know if you were open later I would be there daily. I live and work almost an hour away but have always made my way to Lima for Joeys until the new hours.
