Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Limerick Township

Our server Richard seemed a bit shy & nice but very incompetent unfortunately. Me & my son sat down 1st. I put in our order all in the first shot of him greeting us. The server quite literally never came back on his own. My husband walked in a few mins later, the serve never came back & said is there anything I can get for you regardless of me ordering, there is a new person sitting down at the table. My husband had to flag him down to order his beer. As soon as my husband handed him his license, he turned around & said “I got another one to the manager. I really need to know what that means?? We are not some HS kids or kids that just turned 21 my husband is a 30-year-old man & im 26 & pregnant & wasn’t even drinking. So what does that statement mean “I got another one” & brought the license to his manager where his Manager, then proceeded to check the ID under the light at the bar. This is not our first time @ this location. My husband grew up on Township line Road & has been going there all his life & I have been going there since I met my husband in 2016. Every time my husband would hand a server his license at this very location in the past they just looked at the birthday on the ID for maybe 30 seconds or so & then literally would give it back to him & say OK What can I get you. Then our half-price appetizers & yes, we got there many minutes after 9 o’clock So it’s not like we were waiting around for it to hit 9. The food being rung in as full priced entrées. Ok kinda seemed like that particular thing was because the server was new because we have never seen that before I mean, quite literally everyone comes to Applebee’s for half priced Appetizers, so while i understand the honest mistake it’s like I’m sorry but come on… & then The manager came over Didn’t even Introduce himself when we figured out the check was put incorrectly & we asked the server to get a manager. He just came over & was like what seems to be the problem. Basically we told him the half-price appetizers get ranging as full price entrées, & he quite literally said Yeah, I’m not sure how that got rang out wrong. Then my husband was sharing his opinion about how he didn’t like his ID & debit card was kept long & our server was walking around with both of the cards. The manager Proceeded to say that if you appear be under the age of 40 Basically his server can bring the ID to a manager for more clarification. He was being vague & not really speaking full sentences & trying to be short with his words. I said oh well that’s kind of weird because we’ve been coming here for years like over 6+ years & quite literally every server just looks at the license while standing right @ the table & checks the birthday & hands it back and then says what can I get you? Our license is real, so it’s not like I’m trying to hide anything, but it seems like they were trying to do this new thing because no server has ever took My husband‘s license walked away with it gave it to the manager to check it under a light. It’s not like the license is fake, but we’re also not 16-year-old kids in high school. We are quite literally grown people so yes, it poses some frustration when that happens. I’m not sure if the server didn’t want to do the math & just instantly wanted to bring it to the manager, but just because people can have young facial features does it mean that we’re walking around with fake IDs trying to buy alcohol at a restaurant while being underage. It really was a horrible experience as we were just trying to grab a bite of half-price appetizers for dinner as my husband just worked all day & it truly put a really bad damper on our night even for my 7 year-old son. After we had to flag down the server for my husband to put his beer order in. He never came back never said do you guys need refills on anything? How is your food? Do you guys want dessert? Do you guys need boxes? But of course, when he came back with the box, didn’t forget to mention if we want gift cards. Because if they don’t ask, then Applebee’s owes us a...

I’d give this place negative stars if I could. My friend in I go in and are told the table will be available in 10min. While waiting outside we see two couples who came after us go in before us. 30min later we finally get our table. Takes 10-15min for server to come over, brings no silverware. My friend and I came in to have drinks only and were told that we had to order appetizers in order to drink alcoholic drinks so I order fries and my friend ordered their pretzel app... we never see the waitress who took out order again another waitress brings our food out 20 min after ordering fries are colder than Antarctica and hard as a rock, and my friends pretzels weren’t even edible. We ask to speak to a manager who never ended up coming.... it gets better. We put an order in for boneless wings to replace the pretzels, and were told the pretzels were to come off the bill, they didn’t and a manger never came to fix it after our multiple complaints. While waiting for the wings to come out my friend orders another drink. 20min must have gone by before any worker walks by again and acknowledges that we are there. We stop a busboy and ask where our food/drink is. He comes back shortly after and tells us that the bartender isn’t make drinks right now and is on the back watching football. Are you kidding me? No I’m not making this up! We tell him to cancel both the wings and drink since we’ve spent already close to an hour inside and had other arrangements we had to get to. Now another server brings us our bill, it’s completely incorrect. We were charged the pretzels and they refused to take them off, the beer I ordered was advertised out front for $2.50 and was charged $4.50, no biggie but when asked why the 2.50 wasn’t honored I was told it was because I didn’t order an app. No where did it say you had to order an app to be entitled to drink specials. Place is completely dirty, workers have no personality and we never did get our silverware after asking for it twice. Negative 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Texas Roadhouse, this is by far the worst Applebees experience I’ve ever had! Also note the place was completely empty and our server only had one other table in the section that she spent most of the time speaking to since that poor tables order came out incorrectly and they were also trying to correct their bill. HORRIBLE...

Immediately walking in for my go grab dinner experience I was warmly greeted by two wonderful hostesses. Their names are Vivian and Justine. They immediately made me feel warm and welcomed, almost like I truly was at home, and it just reminded me of the fruits of the spirit, love, kindness, joy, and the things you can have unlimited quantities of in this life. I asked for what might be the better choices with, the hour and staff that is working at the particular moment that I arrived and with spot on advice, I was given tremendous recommendations and I finished both plates. I truly enjoy experiences that are like this and I felt compelled tonight to just take one or two minutes of time to let you know that many times the best of the best folks are overlooked , and not ever thanked for their extraordinary efforts that represent you and your brand here at Applebee’s, so if there would be anyway possible that you could kindly embarrass in perhaps the next staff meeting or when the next general manager or big brass chief comes in perhaps someone take just one moment of time Let folks know that they truly are appreciated that would mean a lot to me, and I think it would really mean a lot more to those that put forced their greatest effort to earn a living to put money in their pocket and all the while they make you very successful.
