Used to love Corropolese. Gave them 3 times lately and you know the saying three strikes you're out? No more. Two times before got Zeps and both times were made wrong. No tomatoes but had Lettuce. Third times a charm? Nope. Called in an order. Girl that answered the phone finished her conversation with the other cashier before saying hello. I had to wait and listen to it. Then proceeded to laugh and carry on with her while I was trying to give my order. Had to repeat myself several times. Ordered a large cheesesteak hoagie and a large zep. Got there and there was a small zep up on the counter with my name. Had to wait while they remade it. Opened my cheesesteak hoagie when I got home. I guess that part of the roll wasn't part of the sandwich since it was curled over and empty. One thin slice of tomato and very little Lettuce and onions were scarce as well. Not acceptable. Will go elsewhere. Be advised. I do NOT RECOMMEND at all.

After being at an event catered by Corropolese's (hoagie platters and tomato pie) we decided to try their full size hoagies. An Italian and American were the choices, before I tell what happened I must confess they were training new employee that day. We stopped in on a trip back from Reading and were going to pickup sandwiches for dinner. Ordered them with oil and mayo on side as we would not eat them for 5 or 6 hours. After paying and leaving we discovered oil and mayo were not on the side to leave soggy rolls. Flavor and blend of meats left a tasty sandwich after open face toast in the oven. One of the few American hoagies made with bologna, yum, that was good too. Meat quantities were less than one of the other stores, but still was good. Large feeds two.

I'm a big fun of unique pizza offerings and the tomato pie at Corrpolese qualifies as a unique pizza offering. it's a cheeseless pie (a really big one!) generally served at room temperature. We picked up one delivered by Corropolese in Allentown, PA and it served a decent sized family for 2 days. The crust is sort of almost kind of Chicago-y in that it's mildly butter-crusty. (Yeah I just made up a bunch of descriptive words, but you know what I mean. I thought it was good and better than most "regular" pizza restaurant offerings...though I enjoyed it more when I added mozzarella to the top and heated it up in the toaster oven. Definitely worth giving a try and you may like it a lot! (And it may feed you family for days and days...)

This place does not stand behind its product. My son pulled out a string from the red tomato pie the day after I picked up the pie. I tried to call the bakery immediately on Christmas Eve, but nobody picked up the phone and the voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. I called the store after Christmas since they were not open on Christmas, but found myself speaking with a very judgmental and unprofessional manager, who in my opinion, does not know her trade. She told me that I should not be eating the tomato pie after two days even though I never mentioned that anyone was eating it four days after the pickup. Additionally, she called my warning of posting a consumer alert on Google review a "threat" after I tried to be fair and wanted to be transparent with her by telling her the review would be posted for the benefit of other customers. Finally, she told me to bring in the string. If I were her, I would not do that because why would I want the other customers to see the embarrasing string and hear about the story? Well, I wasn't going to do that anyway since Corropolese is not next door to me and I do not feel that I should be inconvenienced after paying for a defective product. Moreover, if, according to her advice, pies are not to be kept beyond two days, why am I expected to keep the disgusting string 4 days later?

It is a shame that these tomato pies taste very good, but a piece of foreign object in any purchased food is a deal killer. Most importantly, I expect an operation to stand behind its product and to trust its customers when they bring things to its attention.

It is important that businesses understand that they are operating in the era of Google and Facebook. If you don't do the right thing and assume good intent of your customers, you...

My son and family love this bakery, so when I knew they were driving in from out of state, my husband and I went to the Royersford store to pick up a bundle of breads for them to take home. Even though it was after noon, the place was busy. Everything is baked fresh daily; some things throughout the day, so freshness abounds. We bought french, a marble-rye and challah, Vienna, and Italian rolls, of course, in different shapes and sizes. There was no sourdough at that time, but there were two towers of the ever-popular tomato pie. Although everyone likes it, I didn’t know how travel-worry it would be. The kids were disappointed we’d not bought that, too. Everything we bought cost ten dollars and change amounting to a very inexpensive gift! I noticed that while the cash register was seldom quiet. There rarely was much of a line. People filed in and out in a constant stream. It was very busy, but most folk knew what they wanted, where it was, and were brisk about coming in and ringing out. I was pushing a walker and slowly perusing cases and shelves. It was tight, but there was plenty of room for all of us. I give it 4 stars instead of five because that’s how my taste buds rate the fare. I don’t know why, but a Jewish deli is more my style, or even a Scandinavian pastry shop. Both Italian and PA Dutch, which are bountiful around here, seem a bit bland for me. If those flavors delight you, then consider this bakery a 5-star place. Most of my family...

The Best Tomato šŸ… Pie in the world šŸŒŽ Let me just start with saying, this is my favorite place ever! I have been going there for years( different locations of course!) The prices are unbelievable, I can’t stress that enough. Their 🧁 goodies are to die for! The cheesecake bites to the pies, to the fresh homemade rolls ( all varieties) and loaves of bread šŸž !! I go and get my lunch meat there every Sunday, also my pastas as they come right from Italy šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹. Their Homemade Sauce, I could drink it lol šŸ˜‚ The people are so incredibly kind and friendly, that my fiancĆ© and I have a great time when we are there, and leave happy and laughing. I’m Italian and a picky one about other people’sā€ Sauces or jarred stuff but theirs is the best in the world and I will not buy any other brand ever! I don’t know everyone’s name but the man who waited on me today and Ginger take incredible care of us every time we go in there. I recommend this place plus 1000 āļø! Especially now with the pa Democrat’s, I noticed prices a little lower then usual, they had put some Ed’s still items in the store that would never be in there . The woman that made my crab šŸ¦€ cake sandwich today, ( first time having it and it’s incredible and my new favorite sandwich) always makes them with love . The entire crew are amazing and I won’t go anywhere else! Go check it out Trust me! Take it from the pickiest human isn’t he...
