Rossi's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Limerick Township

It’s a disappointment in itself to have to give any place which serves pizza a less than average review. With a number of these restaurants in the area, what sets one place apart from the others? In Rossi’s case, it’s not necessarily the food but their rude staff.

We had ordered dinner through the Slice app available via their Google page. While some read their menu’s descriptions and placed the online order, others were also reading a version of their menu on their actual website. Everything seemed fine and the online order went through quickly.

Upon picking up the meal and returning home, we realized a grilled chicken salad was missing. It happens, no big deal, and we weren’t far from the restaurant. We called Rossi’s to let them know we were coming back.

It’s a salad, people. Not something to get in a tizzy over and we thought it’d be a simple fix. When we finally went to eat, we discovered the chicken was missing (?!?). We debated calling again, but decided they should be aware of this error for future orders. This is when a simple experience turned into a negative evening thanks to whomever answers the phone.

I wish to emphasize we weren’t upset, just trying to inform them of what happened. The person who answered became very argumentative and refused to acknowledge the error. It was baffling to have to bring this up, but we told them their website states there is chicken in the salad but she continued to be disrespectful and told us “this is why you shouldn’t order online. You should have called in your order directly.“ What’s the point of having online ordering (and descriptions!) then?! Is this something we just don’t know or is it public knowledge that online ordering is just for show?

Their interaction was so negative we noted to write a review to which she responded, “go ahead. We don’t care.”

To add insult to the already insulting encounter, the cheesesteak which was also ordered barely made an appearance as a fraction filled 3/4 of a full length bun…

So we didn’t get what we ordered, then we got a fraction of what we ordered. However, we DID receive a lecture in how online ordering at Rossi‘s is not appreciated and apparently their menus differ from what the chef decides to charge and make. I imagine the employees working that night were not the owners but thanks to them, they helped answer our question about why we prefer to go to other pizza restaurants in...

Ordered delivery. Placed order at 6:00, received order at 6:30. This should have been a huge red flag. Ordered the philly cheesesteak pizza and 20 mild wings with blue cheese dressing on the side. I'll start with the pizza. Advertised cheesesteak, cheddar cheese, red onions, and mozzarella cheese. Cheesesteak was ok, not heaping amounts, not really scarce, but still seemed lacking given the poor quality of the rest of the pizza overall. Red onions were substituted with yellow onions, and the "cheddar cheese" was either nacho cheese or cheese whizz. Crust is thin, but tasty. The wings were microwaved, on the dry side, but edible. The blue cheese was a mayonnaise base, which was a bit heavy on the mayonnaise. Overall disappointed in the meal, definitely not worth the price. Gave 2 stars based on service alone, but I would have rather waited longer for quality product. Would have called the business, but this experience has turned me off from wanting to order from...

Very disappointed to say the very least. This evening we placed a delivery order at 4:45, we waited until 6:25 for the delivery that was supposed to take 45 mins. Due to prepaid delivery(along with driver tip) not arriving we called the shop. Person who answered was clueless at which time we asked to speak to the manager. The manager first stated we never placed an order and it took ten minutes of his arguing and finally sending a photo of our bank account showing it went through at which time he then “found” the order that was left in the “pickup” area and not delivered. He offered to “warm up” the food (three pies a sandwich and sides) and took half off. When the food finally arrived after 7pm the pies were awful, pies thinner than the box, chewy barely warm cheese and crust that was so damned hard it shattered. This will be the last time we utilize this place which is disappointing as it has gotten progressively worse this year . Time...
