today june 29th 2020 met my friend at lakeview cafe for breakfeast we have been goimg there and sitting outside on the patio which was alot nicer then other places in town we have been there before but since we eat out every day their prices are higher then the other places in town and nothing spectacular just average and sometimes the waitresses do not recognize you right away and you sit there for awhile then you have to wait for salt and pepper and jelly if you wanr more then 2 you will wait again most of the time you will ask for coffee which is irritating if you are a coffee drinker they do not like people who ask for more then they feel you should have i like butter on my toast so i ask for 2 butter for each piece of toast they are the small ones 1/2 tsp they do not like that so of course you will wait for them to bring you more than 4 at a time and please if you like milk with your oatmeal do not order it you will get a 1oz souffle cup with a lid they did break down and give me 2 and i was told that is all i get if i want more i will pay extra if feel this way condiments balance out what one person uses the next may not and for what the prices are at lakeview condiments should not be a problem our breakfeast bill for me and my friend was always at least 25.00 dollars so getting back to today i was screamed at and orally abused for at least 5 min with people in the restaurant by the owner pren and told to leave and never come back because i wanted more than 2 souffle cups of milk for my oatmeal when you order oatmeal milk should come with it and should be given in a small juice glass or cream pitcher not in a 1oz souffle cup and like i said it balances out some people use milk some don't but do not penalize the ones that do. if you want good food and service and not get yelled at and cursed at for asking for extras go to springford diner they open july 4 hallelujah i think pren the owner of lake side cafe needs to go to anger management classes he had no right to yell at me the way he did and also use the f word as he was walking away i would also like to point out last year 3 of us ladies went here for lunch and ordered french onion soup it came out in a bowl with a piece of american cheese floating on top we all complained which was not taken very well by pren so good luck to everyone who goes to lakeside i hope no one will ever be treated the way i was under no circumstances does a business owner have the right to treat another human being and customer the way i was treated i deserve respect under all conditions and circumstances no matter what they may be and never be humiliated the way i was by the owner of lakeview cafe PREN I am 76 years old and have always treated other people with respect...
Read moreHey, this isn't Pam writing this, I am signed on as a guest. I'm Big Mark from Rofo. I would like to post a comment about the professionalism and courteous service I've experienced at this establishment since they have opened. almost every Sunday, my wife and I along with my parents and a lot of the time our kids along with their spouses make the weekly trip for breakfast and/or lunch after church. it is such a treat to be waited on immediately and so courteously upon being seated. The wait staff is stellar and the owner, outside of being quite the jokester, goes out of his way to make sure your visit is most enjoyable. (Sorry Pren!) The food is always good and we always walk away with full bellies and full hearts. It is awesome to have an establishment that makes you feel like you are at home! My bride and I have made friends with Pren's family and other customers. That is why it was tough to read the very negative remarks about not getting extras like butter for toast and getting upset about not getting free milk. Hmm, imagine paying for what you order! We have always been accommodated with our requests. I suppose, maybe, it's because they are within reason! I make it a point to tip the wait staff well for their attentive, fast and extremely polite service. after all, TIPS is an acronym that stands for- To Insure Proper Service. And after all that, waiting tables is not a hobby! So, I'd like to say thanks again and you will have us as customers as long as we are able! Thanks, Maria. Big Mark. Ah geeze, my bad, I certainly did not mean to omit the great help we have had from all the awesome girls. Thanks to Tiffany and Ashley also! All of you are awesome. That means a lot to us as customers! Thanks again,...

The only server was in an intense conversation with the couple and ignored me for several minutes. She finally brought me coffee and walked off without out asking if I'd like to order. I've had this server several times and usually order the same thing so it's reasonable to expect that she'd ask me if I'd like to order or see a menu. Instead she returned to the couple in the booth and resumed her intense conversation. After several more minutes I got up and went to another diner. Is it any wonder that Lakeview had one server and 3 customers at the same time Sunshine Cafe was half full and had 12 servers working? Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened so from now on I'll avoid Lakeview when this server is working.
ORIGINAL REVIEW Most places serve a good breakfast. Lakeview is no different. Uniquely, they serve a homemade potato cake - similar to a latke - in addition to the requisite home fries. I recommend the potato cakes, particularly if you like latkes.
Their hashbrowns are pre-made and shaped into patties similar to the ones you'd get at McDonalds. I don't particularly care for them but you or your kids might.
Portions are large; prices are in line with the competition; the help is friendly and attentive. I mentioned my name once to my server, Tiffany. When I was in a week later she greeted me by before I could get to my table. I like that!
They open at 7AM. Personally I'd prefer 6:30, but I'm an...
