Hello everyone! I'm writing this post to share with everyone a terrifying, frightening experience that my mom had in the drive thru at the McDonalds on Dix between Champaign and Southfield. While in the drive through, my mom started having a TIA, or a mini-stroke. She was obviously visibly upset and distraught and panicking. She was at the window, and was pleading with the window worker, an elderly female in glasses, for help. At this point my mom had me on the phone, and I was trying to explain the situation and that my mom was suffering from a stroke. This disgusting person, rather than taking 30 seconds to listen and discern that my mom was in distress, instead rudely yells at my mom to take her phone, refused to offer any kind of support, and slammed the window in my mom's face leaving her there alone. By that time I was already on another line with 911 and had an ambulance on the way. I didn't know what to do or how to express my frustrations. My mom is my world and the thought of her in that situation in that drive thru, and this nasty lady who I could only describe with inappropriate colorful language which I won't use here, slamming that window in her face and acting rude because what, you're busy? I'm sorry but if things went a different way that lady's help could have been the difference between life and death for my mom. Fortunately she's okay now, however what she experienced there angers us to the bone. I didn't bother calling because I know nothing would be done, but I'm second guessing myself now and thinking maybe I should contact a corporate complaint number. Just wanted to share this terrifying experience with you all, and I guess give a word of warning to not have a medical episode here because you will find no support from...
Read moreYesterday I Ordered a Cajun Mc crispy and ten piece mcnugget meal. Staff was rude while ordering. When I got to the window no one was at the register. I waited for three minutes. When I arrived to the next window the manager or supervisor said that I did not order what the order was. Once I arrived home, the food was cold specifically the chicken nuggets and the Mc crispy. (Which barely had any Cajun sauce). I called the store to let them know but there was no answer. I drove back to the store and after waiting at the speaker for 5 minutes, I tried to let them know the order was not fresh, they said pull to the second window. Once I got there they asked what did they forget. I told them they forgot to cook this meal fresh as everything was cold as if it had been waiting around for a long period of time. The manager or supervisor told me to pull around but it would take 7 minutes. I told them that was fine. I handed them the receipt they never gave back. I waited for another 20 mins just for one of the employees to bring out one Mc crispy (undone). I told them that there were two meals that I ordered. They went back in and 2 minutes later they brought out the nuggets. There were no fries and once I let her know to let them know she said that she doesn’t work in the taking orders department. I said i understand. I was highly upset with the entire process and there was no professionalism from any of the workers. There needs to be a hiring of new management because this is a...
Read moreAvoid this McDonalds. Drive the extra distance to a different place. Also avoid the McDonald's on Southfield it is just as bad if not worse.
The only reason this restaurant is in business still is the easse of access to I75 and the southfield freeway.
This restaurant's service and food quality was horrible pre-covid. Since covid it has only gotten worse.
Lines are very long. Make sure to pay attention to what line you get in. The slow lane is only taking orders half the time. The fast lane can turn over five cars to the slow Lanes one.
They have screwed up my order multiple times. Food is often cold. Check your food before you leave. Rarely salt their fries. Charges extra for lots of small stuff like extra sauce or pickles. Ice cream machine is often broken or out of order. Oil for fried food is not changed often because your food will come out dark. Fried Food is not fresh. It will be dry.
Night shift is the absolute worst. Day and morning shift's service is atleast faster but that means 25 minutes instead of more than 45 minutes at night. Day and morning crew will still screw up your order and the food isn't fresh.
This is a poorly managed store. Go to the burger king or Wendy's across Dix for better service and...
