Abelardo's Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Lincoln

We had abelardos (drive thru) last night and ordered an order of street tacos and the chicken fajitas extra rice, drinks etc…. Well they didn’t give me chicken fajitas they gave me steak with tons of different peppers and tomato’s and a tortilla wrapped on the side. I also asked for sour cream and they put it all over the steak and not on the side (I asked for it on the side). I wanted the sour cream for my rice. I tried it and it just wasn’t good at all so I ended up throwing it away, very disappointed. The last 2 times we came here the food was very dry and the other time the chicken fajitas were drenched in grease and it made the tortillas super soggy and not a good flavor. I love abelardos but this location is probably going to loose my business the staff is great and friendly but it’s always something with the food when we come to this location which sucks because it’s like 2min from our house so now we will have to drive to the 27th location which is a bit further. Let me first start by saying that I love Abelardos and the food but this location (North 48th) is straight trash with customer service. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was fine but they got my order wrong when I said FRIES not RICE. I understand it can sound the same but when I was trying to explain nicely the order was wrong both the employee and manager said and I quote "sorry but not my problem since I heard you say rice over the intercom." Meanwhile talking over me like I was below them. So they basically were trying to have me repay for the fries which they gave me rice instead of just exchanging it AND I didn't even get any utensils for the rice (wrong item) even it was the case. Well this restaurant is absolutely perfectly fine for the food and really for the service. The atmosphere is a little bit lacking, but doesn't matter because it makes up for it with its you know playful banter from the people that work there and fairly authentic Mexican food. I mean the nachos are a little weird and the super fries are a little crazy. But what they have are fried flower, shell, tortillas, tacos and those things are the shit, plus you know where else can you go and have authentic Mexican food and you know in a total American atmosphere.
