Chef Shawarma — Restaurant in Lincoln

They have the MOST DELIGHTFUL falafel, and the hummus is also delicious! My companions have enjoyed chicken shwarma and falafel sandwiches as well. Service is always friendly, and falafel and shwarma are cooked to order. Yes, this takes a bit longer, but it is always hot and fresh.

Bring cash if you have it for a slight discount on the (already very reasonable) price of your meal. They take card too, but hey, every penny counts these days!

Don't go if you're super in a hurry. It usually takes a few minutes before food is ready (I've waited up to 10 minutes), but as stated above, it's always made to order. If you are really in a hurry, call ahead, maybe? I always see food delivery drivers picking up when I'm there.

The indoor seating is extremely limited, so this is definitely more of a to-go situation.

Access can be kind of a pain because of the way North 48th Street is set up there, but it is navigable and worth it. You can access it from westbound Vine via the AutoZone parking lot, and all business lots on that block have the ability to pull through at this point. The easiest access is southbound North 48th Street.

Bottom line: food is delicious, portions are generous, pricing is super reasonable, service is friendly but not fast... so know that going in and don't make it an issue. Locally-owned, and (per my coworker, who would know) halal.

This place deserves 6 stars! I’ll tell you why. First off, I’ve had Shawerma all over the United States and the Middle East. I was just in Dearborn MI last week and honestly, this place has the BEST chicken Shawerma I’ve had since I was in Lebanon! It was marinated just right and was juicy and not dry. I am a beef Shawerma guy, their beef Shawerma is AMAZING and marinated perfectly. I got one pound of the chicken and one pound of the beef because I just couldn’t decide. And it was ONLY $34! That’s for 2 POUNDS of meat!

The reason why they deserve 6 stars is in addition to how delicious their Shawerma is, the worker CHASED US to the car and told us he mistakenly over charged us and wanted to refund us the difference. You don’t find HONESTY like...

I’m writing this review in sad and bad new! I use to go here a lot and order food and the service and people are nice. But the last time I went with my wife, we were waiting on the food inside and we both notice a decently sized mouse running around. It was gross and disgusting! It came from the side kitchen where they keep the meat and chicken. And ran under the cash register, then underneath the fryer where the food is made/cooked, and then underneath the prep station. Sadly I liked the food and people are great. But we won’t be coming to the establishment again because who knows what’s going on behind closed doors.
