Hollywood Bowl — Local services in Lincoln

I hate to give this place such a low rating because it seemed like such a great atmosphere to bowl but… we didn’t get to spend much time here. We’re from out of town and were in Lincoln for the weekend and decided to go bowling on a Saturday night. When we looked the place up, as well as look at the sign on the door, it said they closed at 12 AM. We got there at 10:25 and were told they’d be closing at 11. But… We were charged the full hourly rate to bowl. By the time we started it was 10:30… And they had our game ending a few minutes before 11. I was a bit irritated at being charged a full rate when we only got to bowl HALF of that. No discount whatsoever? Your sign says you close at midnight. And if that wasn’t bad enough, ten minutes before our game ended, the young man running the front desk, started going around turning TV’s and other things off. Like we were being rushed to get out. We should’ve taken our sweet time putting our things away and walking out the door. Nice place but I don’t think...

My wife and son and i stopped to bowl on a Friday afternoon. Called before and talked to Chris (management) asked if was open bowling, he said yes. Went to the counter to pay and get our shoes, was there for 15 min before someone helped us. Asked to pay for two adults and one child for two games. Payed the slow cashier. Played first game started to play second only my sons game comes up only. Went to desk and talked to Chris (assistant manager) and he tells me we didn't pay enough, being from out of town not knowing how much it was in said we payed the amount she needed for two adults one child for two games. He didn't care 7 dollars. I was not impressed with his tone, as if we tried to rip him off. As a business owner my self my customers would of walked out in the first 15 min. I did give it a chance, but still walked out after first game. Still with 7 dollars in my pocket. P.S. did have good chips and cheese, but terrible...

I went about 6:00 pm on a Sunday. Stood at the counter and no one around. I go to the bar and ask the lady if anyone was working she states yes here he comes. Sure enough the worker comes strolling up from the bowling lanes Not fixing them mind you but bowling with this buddies One thing to have fun on the clock but another to make a customer wait while you continue to enjoy yourselves. . They are not serving food at the moment and haven't for well over a month now. 34$ a lane for an hour may be a great deal if you have 5 bowlers but not for a single bowler. The place was completely DEAD! Not sure what went wrong the last 4 months but it's changed since I went last and not...
