Shogun Japanese Steakhouse — Restaurant in Lincoln

Took our daughter here for her birthday. Worst decision ever. We made reservations, but I don't know why, because walk-ins were seated at tables where orders were taken and food was cooked well before our party. There was 1 waiter working for the entire restaurant; which we can be understanding of if you have unexpected staffing issues... but do not fully book your restaurant when that occurs.

We waited 30 minutes to get water brought to our table. 45 minutes to get our sodas and salad/soup. Then finally, 1 /1/2 to have our food cooked.

The food itself was overpriced, poor quality ingredients, it was blandly cooked, the portions were small, the yum yum sauce was watery, and the grill smelled dirty and like rotten fish. The scallops were the size of a thimble and the steak couldn't have been more than a 4oz pre-frozen patty.

To get out of there just under 2 hours we had to track down the manager and ask her to ring us up upfront so we could leave. There was no apologies or offer to make things right for the experience. Our daughters were so patient and so disappointed. And the final parting gift from the experience was 2 out of 4 of us getting food poisoning that evening. Well went there for another birthday party as the first was AMAZING! The second go around was not very good! Food and the chief was great but the waiter/cashier not so much! Had issues running my credit card as I was "short" on funds! Well I made a quick payment to have funds available and which they were and they still acted as my card was declined. We ended up paying on a different card that worked! Well after my card was deleted again this morning for a smaller transaction I did some investigation and found that they charged not only my girlfriends card but they charged my credit card for the same amount without the tip! I will be going in when they open to get this resolved! I will not be going back again!! Such thieves we have working in the restaurant business!! UPDATE! Been there 3 times and still have not gotten my money back! They keep asking for my name and number and never call me back! What a joke of a place! Liers and thieves!! Started off this beautiful dinner with ants crawling all over the grill that our food was supposed to be prepared on. After bringing it up to the waiter he started to joke about they are just seasoning and how you won't notice them in the rice. After the waiter talked with the "manager" we were moved to a different table/grill. After our order was taken the waiter must have turned into a ghost because we never heard from him again, except for 1.5 hours later when he brought the bill and quickly left our area. While we were eating we noticed another party sitting at the table/grill that we we're originally sitting at, maybe they got the special ant seasoning. After seeing that our bill was not adjusted at all for the disgusting inconvenience and never actually seeing or speaking with the so called "manager" i decided they will never get my business again. Also while walking to the restroom I noticed multiple radiant space heaters on the floor keeping the place warm, not sure if that's a code violation or just trashy.
