My husband & I frequent this place often since I see a Dr. next door. I understand a business needs to make a profit & I have worked in the food industry but this location is unbelievable in a bad way. So over-priced and what irks me the most are the portions. My husband & I split 1 bagel w/cc, 1 slice of salmon & 1 coffee. Nearly $9.00. I opted not to leave a tip. The side of cream cheese is $1.50. When the mgr filled the small cup of cream cheese, there was a large open space at the bottom and he filled it a bit over half full. Seriously. It was not enough for a 1/4 of a bagel. I was so ticked when I paid, I told the gal – this cup of cream cheese is nearly half filled and you charge $1.50. With the mgr watching, she did make it right and filled the cream cheese cup. If you get a sandwich with capers – there are about 5 capers on the sandwich. On one occasion, I asked for an egg white to be added - $3.00. I can buy two dozen eggs for that. Lastly, my bagel was warmed – not toasted. The mgr takes it to a whole new level as far as watching portion sizes. For those prices, it’s unacceptable. I agree with the other customers, it’s under staffed. Waited way too long for 1 toasted bagel. Just very irritating and I never get out of there with it costing less than a fortune. Chicago Baily & Bagel down the road a ways has wonderful customer service & large portion sizes so we have been...
Read moreOver the last year I've ordered bagels for breakfast here about twice a month. And without fail, they never get my order right. From putting the wrong schmear on the wrong bagel to completely forgetting items. Every time I say I will give them one more chance because it's owned by a single owner and I like to support my local businesses. However, today was the last time for me. I will drive to the one further going forward. Over the last year whenever I would go inside to order I would be in the store for at least 30 minutes just to get a bagel and cream cheese. So I started ordering it online and picking it up. Of course I check it before leaving since I know they are notorious for not getting it correct. Each time I asked them to correct their mistakes I get a complete attitude from the kids who work there, especially the owners daughter. As if I'm being completely out of line for asking them to give me the correct order. Now today when I told the owner to please call me if they are out of something or need to replace it and he told me absolutely not, they don't have time to call every time they're out of a bagel so we get what they give us and that's their policy. Sorry but nobody in my family eats wheat bagels so why the hell would I pay for it just because you never have enough bagels on a Sunday?????...
Read moreI’m reaching out to express my ongoing concerns with the accuracy of my orders from this location. On multiple occasions, my orders have been incorrect — most recently, I ordered three bagels and received three muffins instead. In a separate instance, I ordered three chocolate chip bagels and was given some kind of cinnamon bagels.
These issues have been occurring for several months, so I decided to call the store in hopes of resolving the matter politely. i wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone for the first few calls. Unfortunately, when i did get a hold of someone, the employee I spoke with was extremely rude. I was told I was not allowed to speak with a manager and was accused of being “lazy” for not coming into the store directly.
I value good service and communication, and I hope that steps can be taken to improve both order accuracy and customer interactions moving forward. the employee said their name was aaron but it could’ve been a fake name. the incident occurred on...
