I won't be returning. I went to dinner with my family ( my Mother, Younger Brother, Kid Sister, Kid Brother, and Grandma) We were seated quickly but it took about 10 minutes for Someone to notice us. by that time. My little brother and my little sister. Had gone to the salad bar to get pretzels and gold fish crackers to eat while waiting. Waitress finally comes in. I can tell right away. That she is irritated she asks how she can help us. it took a minute to decide. She waited about a minute and then said I'll be right back and walked off. came back we ordered. When the waitress noticed my brother and sister eating the crackers. She said she will be charging 4 dollars each just to eat the snacks. my mother said she's been coming here for years and this is the first time this has happened. She snapped an attitude at my Mother and said "well they took from the salad bar." To which my younger brother (who is an adult) said something about how you need to get a salad to be charged for a salad bar. she then went on this huge tangent about how "you don't go to a grocery store get food and not pay for it". To which im thinking in my head uhhh you also don't go to a grocery store and pay 4.00 dollars for a handful of crackers... she was very rude. When she was walking away my mother started talking to us saying "this is ridiculous I've been coming here for years". The snotty waitress heard that and before walking out said "and I've been working here for years so" I don't appreciate being treated that way. my mother asked for the manager. Turns out she's the manager and there's apparently nothing that can be done. my grandma even said she was very snotty and she is the sweetest woman in the world never gets mad. She was disappointed with the service. They're getting pretty good at losing customers appatently from all the negative reviews that have similar problems. I was going to get a salad as well but the salad looked like it was rotten. our family will not be returning. She could have treated that whole situation better. Instead of being a...
Read moreI was getting ready to write a review, but quickly noticed we are definitely not the first to have negative reviews about the sub-sub par restaurant. We have been a couple of times because we had coupons and were hoping to give it, and the people that work there the benefit of the doubt. Clearly a mistake! From the beginning of our experience here, we knew it was going to be a rocky night. Our little family of three (my wife, son and me) went for a nice dinner out. We waited for quite a while for the hostess to finally show up. When she did, she said, "What can I do to help you?" Clearly very annoyed we were there. We replied that we needed a table for 3. When she left to go find one, I turned to my wife and said, "Really? What can I do to help you? What did she think we were doing in the lobby?!?!?!" Another customer sitting in the lobby as well said, "Wow!! At this restaurant grammar and etiquette fly out the window, don't they?" We had a coupon that said buy one entree and 2 drinks and get a second entree for free. According to the coupon, there are absolutely no stipulations to what an entree is. Once we got there, the server told us that salads don't count as an entree. They are in the entree section of their menu, so that would lead one to assume they would count as an entree, correct? They make the rules once these snakes in the grass already have you trapped in their snares. We asked to speak to a manager after the meal to let him know of our experience. He was a young man in his mid-twenties probably, he wore nothing to distinguish him as an employee of the restaurant. He would have fit in better on the gym floor preparing for a pick up game of basketball, in his T-shirt and basketball shorts. He said nothing in reference to an apology, just shrugged with an it-is-what-it-is type of an attitude. We will never be re-entering this poor excuse of a restaurant. Even though it is a much longer drive for us, Brick Oven has our business from now on. Better service, better food, and...
Read moreThis place made me contemplate life and humanity, because how on earth can people give this place more than a 2-star rating? Below-average tasting, expensive, and stinky. Please, oh please don’t eat here. Try 2-Jack’s pizza instead—it’s kind of tacky but they have dang good pizza crust and bread sticks.
As for this place, it is hardly worth going into detail because it makes me sick to think about it, but if you’re interested, read on:
SERVICE: The gals that were working here were polite and really trying to make the best of it. It’s probably their first job, and I respect them for that. Kudos, this place gets an extra star just for their service to this place.
ATMOSPHERE: This was a unique experience. First off, we came a little before peak dinner hours and we wandered the desolate halls in search of someone who could seat us. When we finally got a seat, The first thing we noted was that the place smelled very similar to a roller rink and had tacky, stained carpet to match.
FOOD: The breadsticks are beautiful—I can’t say the same about the flavor. They are brushed with fake butter...what the heck? I don’t want bread sticks that taste like movie theater “butter.”
The salad bar—this place just seems like a health code violation. You know how sometimes you buy a bagged salad from the grocery store with good intentions and then you forget about it for a while only to come across it when it maybe has only 1 day left before you should throw it out? That’s what this place’s lettuce is like. Also, how long have those mushrooms been in the bin? They are dark brown and shriveled!
Pizza—it was fine. We got the Maui and we didn’t have too many complaints except for a spongy crust, but it certainly didn’t taste that great.
PRICE: This place hardly has the right to charge nearly $20 for a medium specialty pizza. Goodness gracious, they may be quadrupling their profits by serving low-quality pizza while charging upper-tier pizza prices. The reviews...
