We recently visited Desi District in Little Elm and had a mixed experience. While there were a few positive aspects of our visit there were also a couple of disappointing aspects that affected our overall satisfaction.
In service the staff truly excelled. They were always available to answer any questions and assist with any requests. Sairam and Rupesh in particular stood out for their exceptional service. They were friendly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met.
One of the main issues we encountered was with our order of bone-in fish. We specifically requested bone-in fish but unfortunately we were served boneless fish instead. This was quite disappointing as we had been looking forward to enjoying the authentic desi experience with bone-in fish. The miscommunication regarding our order was a letdown.
In addition the mutton pieces we ordered were disappointingly tough. We had expected tender and flavorful mutton but unfortunately the meat was quite hard to chew. This decreased our enjoyment of the dish and left us craving for more tender mutton pieces.
On the positive side we did enjoy the mandi. The flavors were well-balanced and the dish was cooked to perfection. The rice was fragrant and the meat was tender which made for a satisfying meal. This was definitely the highlight of our dining experience at Desi District.
Despite the disappointment with the bone-in fish and tough mutton pieces we appreciated the effort put into the mandi. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. However we believe that improvements could be made in terms of fulfilling specific orders and ensuring the quality of the meat.
In conclusion we rate our visit to Desi District in Little Elm as a three-star experience. While the mandi stood out the issues with the bone-in fish and tough mutton pieces dampened our overall satisfaction. We hope that the restaurant takes our feedback into account and works towards improving these aspects in order to provide a more consistent and enjoyable dining experience for...
Read moreThe greediness of these people has increased exponentially and they least care customer service these days and they are taking customers for granted.Hope they will learn their lesson soon, I have been giving enough excuses to try one last time for their honesty in serving but every time they stoop to the lowest levels. May be they don’t care but I am not go8n* to visit them again ever
Experiences I ordered to go Vada only after reaching home I realized the samba was missing. Next time I ordered same vada again but this before heading out I checked and when asked they don’t even feel sorry for missing I ordered $10.80 something worth food, gave $20 cash. The guy at the counter gave $8 back and said sir no change next time you can ask it’s only $1.20 (technically it’s $1.70 because I get 5% cash back ). The very next day I went in the evening , same person was on the counter and I politely started saying “ if you don’t remember it’s ok but I get $1.70/1.80 something back based on yesterday’s order”. He outrightly said no. Still I thought it’s ok note easy to trust and ignored. Shameless I ordered again fro my here and this will be Last experience I ordered 2 dum biryanis ( chicken and mutton) if they were finished they shouldn’t take order but they took the order. Made me wait for 1 hour ... by then already i was having a bad feeling ( because personally people do appreciate when i prepare biryani, and I know what it meant).I reached home with 2 order so and realized the packed half boiled rice with chicken Curry’s in between and mutton curry in between.
So take away for friends: don’t trust them , they are greedy. Don5 go to this place for Friday,Saturday evening food. Their quality drops to the lowest in greed to make money. JUst during weekday try out snacks don’t go go beyond that to...
Read moreWe ordered food online, and expected the food to be ready in 25-30 minutes. Being a Sunday the wait time was higher and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The staff seemed overwhelmed and didn’t know what was happening, within a span of 5 minutes I had 4 of them asking me about my order. Communication was off, but they handed the orders as they came and didn’t mess it up.
The display had some Mysore Bonda, and with the wait being so long, we took some to eat at the store and they were delicious. Even the chutneys were finger licking good. The stuffed mirchi was spicy! We ordered Veg Tandoori Momos, Kids Veg Noodles, Baby Corn Manchuria and Maseladar Paneer Burger. The paneer burger tasted good, and is a meal by itself. If you ordering it you don’t need any appetizers on the side.
The tandoori momos were delicious. I wish they had given a dipping sauce on the side to go with it, but it was still delicious. Outside was spicy and inside was mild and hits the right spot. The Manchuria was good too, and didn’t have too much sauce or too little. It tasted good and was the right amount t of spicy. The kids noodles were good, but my kid did not like the peas. I had to agree with him as I I wouldn’t put peas in noodles. But they still tasted good!
I’ve tried the Desi District in Irving, and this seems better. Have to see if they keep up the quality in the coming months. Don’t forget to try the snacks in the display. They...
