A Memorable Dining Experience at Kuppanna – Little Elm
We had the pleasure of dining at Kuppanna in Little Elm on a fine Sunday in December 2024, where we enjoyed their unlimited non-veg meals for lunch. The food quality and taste were simply outstanding! It was a special moment for our family as we introduced mutton from biryani to our 11-month-old twin baby girls, and to our delight, they absolutely loved it.
When it came time to choose a restaurant for our kids' 1st birthday family lunch, my family instantly suggested Kuppanna again—a testament to the wonderful experience we had before. This time, we explored a variety of dishes, including mutton soup , chicken 65, mutton biryani, chicken noodles and limited non-veg meals—each dish was flavorful, aromatic, and delicious.
A special mention goes to the mutton soup, which stood out among the many Indian restaurants we have tried across the DFW metroplex. It had an authentic, rich taste that was truly unique and satisfying.
Beyond the food, the owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with great care. Their hospitality added to the overall fantastic dining experience.
If you're looking for authentic South Indian flavors, top-notch service, and a warm dining atmosphere, Kuppanna in Little Elm is an excellent choice. Highly...
Read moreVery Authentic place for Tamilnadu Style Pandhi Meals. We were group of 6, when we entered it was full , they welcomed us with a smile and keep checking on you and keep updating the status. After 10 mins we got the table. Vaishnavi was the one who took our order., she explained the menu and told us whats included in unlimited thali. She answered all our questions very patiently even though the place was running full. She keeps checking on you from time to time. Then they got banana leaf plate with curries, sweet and Chapathi . Every item they served is ver tasty , couple of fry items they ran out as it was already 2 pm or they might have been running short. The boys who serve food were excellent ! Hats off to them, They keep running back and forth so many times. Once they see our plate is empty they keep checking on you and refill. Dilip was amazing and he took care of us very well. Overall impressed by staff and food. Owners were also around and talked to us, my friends who came from Chicago were impressed . It’s a must place to visit if you are a fan of Tamil Style Food .

Read moreWell maintained restaurant that’s right on El Dorado. They asked us to wait for 5 minutes before they got us seated. They immediately brought us a couple of menus and gave us enough time to go over it. We were interested in the ‘pandhi’ (thali) meals and wanted to order the unlimited one, but they didn’t have it available and instead had the limited one. We ordered 2 of those. We ordered an omelette and parotta with Veg Kurma.
The omelette arrived first. It was too peppery (had too much black pepper in it) and kids couldn’t eat it. The thalis arrived next. The chapati was dry and was cold, same as the rest of the food on the plate. I LOVED the Kuzhumbu, and reminded me of Chennai. It tasted just the way I remember it back in Chennai. Even Saravana Bhavan and A2B do not match to Kuppanna’s Kuzhumbu. The Gobi in the thali was too oily, and oil oozed out of it as we ate. The rest of the items weren’t much memorable. The parotta came next and it Veg Kurma tasted too bland. The menu did warn that the Kurma was mild and kid friendly, so that’s on us I guess. The parottas were small in size and the kurma was too much for those 2 small parottas. They gave 2 extra Appadams for the kids, and gave them pencils which they held on to like they were precious treasures. Will definitely come back here...
