Hat Creek Burger Company — Restaurant in Little Elm

Update: Returning to try again today was very happy with several changes. First, they offer combos now and the prices have adjusted to what definitely seems like a better value. The fries were way better than a couple previous visits. The burgers also improved as well. Drive through was fast and accurate. Will definitely return now after seeing these welcome changes.

Cant honestly recommend the place for the price or the service. The burger wasnt bad, the buns were actually very good. But a nearly $10 burger on the menu, which was very lackluster, compared to what you can get at known, better burger joints in the area. For 2 adult burgers, fries, drink and 2 kids meals the total was around $36. Thats sitdown meal prices, not drive through burger prices. The staff was polite but clearly was having issues. In addition to our order being incorrect, the one ahead of us, after us, and another order we overhead was incorrect. Took several minutes just to get the employees attention to get it corrected. They were, again, very polite about it, but mistakes were flying it seemed. On a final note, the playground was well done and all the kids enjoyed it. I just cant wrap my head or my wallet around...

Why did it take me so long to try Hat Creek? They’re the perfect burger spot for me! I ordered the Keto Burger Bowl, which was ideal since I’m not a fan of carb overload (unless it’s cookies). The bowl had all my favorite toppings without the bun—plus, I love veggies and bacon. With avocado and bacon included, it was already a win! I added grilled onions and lettuce (at no extra cost!) and expected boring, tasteless iceberg lettuce, but they used spinach instead, which was a pleasant surprise.

As a side, I got their fries, which were good, but honestly, they were just a conduit to get their incredible ranch dressing into my mouth. The cheese options are great too; I tried the pepper jack. It wasn’t spicy, which I found a bit disappointing, but it was still tasty.

I also appreciated their effort toward eco-friendly packaging. My bowl wasn’t made of foam or plastic, and their cups are sturdy, reusable plastic rather than flimsy single-use ones (though the lid was still plastic). Oh they have other gluten-free options for those with sensitivities, so we were able to get for the whole family.

Overall, I give them a 9 out of 10 and can’t...

We absolutely love this place. We got a little bit of everything and NOTHING disappointed! This location was very clean, the gm was cleaning and everytime a table cleared out, someone was there to clean the space sweeping under tables, wiping them down, taking care of trash. Every spill cleaned up immediately. You can tell the GM takes pride in this place. The staff was kind, prompt and so helpful. Now the food.... the food... oh man... delish. The environment has a fast food feel but definitely not a fast food taste. Everything was hot and fresh and nothing tasted pre frozen or processed. We tried all the sauces and each pairs nicely with different things. You can even get an ice cold draft beer while the kids Olay on the playground they have! I highly recommend coming here. I can't say enough good things about this place and if I tried this review would be 5 pages long lol. Go try it for yourself... you won't be...
