unbeknownst after my hiking trek from montclaire was this little gem, nestled between a quick chek and a dunkin. after calculating my finishing route, i casually arrived parched and hungry, but also curious after earning every morsel of caloric intake after a wonderful Sunday hike.
i ordered up four distinctly different but classic slices from the to go counter. the young lady who warmed them up was very kind, welcoming, and attentive. i grabbed a ginger ale from the fridge and politely asked for a glass of ice to accompany my bottled beverage. the pizza was hot, delicious from start to finish.
my first slice was the penne slice. a great texture combo of soft pasta and chewy carbs to start my feats of four slices ala carte. the cheese was perfectly balanced between the crispy crust and supportive base of pasta and extra garlic powder i sprinkled above. It didn't need it but I wanted to finish each slice tip to crust (pause)
my second slice was the corner "nonna" slice. or grandma slice if you're from amboy (like i am). it was absolutely perfect with the right amount of fresh mozz and the tomato sauce base was divine. i added just a sprinkle of red pepper to really take it there and it did not disappoint.
my third slice was the vodka sauce slice. it was a mid center slice. square, piping hot, and soaked in amazing sauce. i didnt spare a drip dop of sauce (pause) and enjoyed every single bite of this delightful square goddess.
my last slice was their regular schmegular plain slice. and with very little help from the black pepper and garlic powder this slice slapped my face top to bottom two times with a flavor paddle that was out of this world. this was a no brainer after my amazing trek across west essex county trails. i will happily return on my bicycle to try the veggie slices and the philly slice i had my eye as well. thank you for an amazing surprise nestled in little falls. i will be...
Read moreCustomer Service needs improvement. I’m newer to this area and found this restaurant on Uber Eats. I placed an order and after waiting an hour for my delivery I called the restaurant to check on my order. The girl who answered told me that my order was placed for delivery without an address. I told her that was impossible. I ordered through Uber and my address is automatically listed. She then told me that as soon as I called my address popped up. This made no sense to me. She now told me the order was placed for pick up and it’s been ready for a while. I told her no that I definitely ordered delivery and have proof of my order with the address listed. She told me I could come pick up the order myself, which I did not have the means to or I could wait another HOUR to have my food delivered to me ice cold. The manager came to the line and claimed his tablet stated pick up and he reiterated I could have the food delivered in an hour or come pick it up. Whether this was truly an error on Ubers end or if it was the restaurants error, the lack of trying to accommodate the error was unbelievable. I was told the restaurant was too busy to accommodate me. Which if that was the case, then the ability to order online through food delivery platforms should be unavailable until they can correctly keep up with orders. I understand that the restaurant delivers themselves and does not use Uber drivers, which is fine, but if you are going to advertise on those platforms you have to be accommodating to errors that may occur. You cannot expect all of your customers to have transportation or be in walking distance of...
Read moreOrdered $100+ worth of food including multiple dinners. Went to pick up my food and asked for the order to be checked and the 'woman' behind the front desk refused to check and said it was checked twice. Got home and realized that I was given a wrong dinner and missing a salad.
I called the restaurant back and the woman answered , I told her the issue and was told that "the owner was the chef tonight and packed the order himself so it was correct and I got what I ordered" and if I wanted to dispute what I was given I can "come back with my food and have it checked". What kind of customer service is that? Women kept talking over me on the phone when trying to give my phone number for delivery, acussed me of yelling and screaming, then hung up.
I cannot wait to tell everyone to NEVER come to this terrible restaurant again. Miserable customer service for mediocre food, not worth the headache and dealing...
