Runway Diner — Restaurant in South Hackensack

Hey folks Jon here have a question .⁷ how do you get served for the second time in a row burnt Cinnamon French toast that's cold makes no sense right in an empty diner where they claim the food is fresh I really hate leaving bad the restaurant the facility is beautiful spotless The waitresses seem on point the whole restaurant looks like it's been completely redone with a $2 million renovation budget it's just really really nice but a few things really bother me and number one they still make frozen hamburger patties or St claim it's not and they serve you french fries that are super hot but not cooked enough in the inside I asked him for them to give me another batch of french fries to cook it right he said no problem sir we're so sorry the same exact french fries came back to me burnt on the outside and not cooked enough on the inside again there's no one inside the restaurant. I've been here about five times in about 2 months one time I was there I had a fantastic cheese steak did the same thing again it was horrible you couldn't even bite it it was cooked a million degrees. Another time I was there I got the breakfast special the French toast again burnt French toast cold just tells me the place either gave up or they got to cook in there just lazy this is just lazy way to cook everything they do there everything that this cook does it is laziness if you read the menu the person who put the menu together and the person that cooking the food are from completely opposite end of the spectrum I really feel bad for the people who put all this money into this place and the owners who have put all their money into this the person that is cooking there in charge of cooking is and should be fired he lost his passion he doesn't care he's just getting a paycheck I don't care if he reads this the place is very...

This is my second and last time I will ever be eating at Runway Diner, all due to a manager who was apparently “too busy with takeouts” to tend to upset patrons. On March 26, 2022, my family and I came to dine here after car shopping all day. We had a lovely waiter, Steven, who was very patient and accommodating with our specific food allergens. All was well until a busgirl randomly came and snatched my father’s plate as he was still working on it. It happened so fast that my father didn’t have time to react. To make matters worse, when my mother attempted to wave down another waitress with false eyelashes, she started to come over, but then made a face as if she had an attitude, and walked away. When our waiter Steven came back, my mother asked him for the manager. The woman with the false eyelashes then came 10 minutes later, and when my mother asked if she was the manager, she said “no, but what do you need?” blinking rapidly as if she was annoyed. My mother then told her we were waiting for the manager. A few minutes later, another waiter came to our table and claimed that the manager was “tied up with takeouts.” My mother then told him that was unacceptable that a manager would disregard dissatisfied customers in house for takeout orders. Shortly after, our waiter Steven came out to tell us that the manager would not be able to come out. My mother then told him to let the manager know we would not leave until he spoke with us. I’ve never been in a restaurant where a manager was too busy to deal with a customer complaint, especially when he or she was in the vicinity. I highly advise anyone who cares about the way they are treated in a restaurant or any establishment to stay as far away from Runway Diner...

From the moment I stepped into The Runway Diner, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm ambiance and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a good night

The food and portions surpassed all expectations. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in flavors that delighted the palate. Whether it was the classic cheeseburger or the chicken quesadilla (that was over flowing with chicken). Every bite was delicious. Ther mozzarella sticks, waffle fries and onion rings are a MUST have!!

The service was exceptional. From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive and great waiter RAUL, every interaction was met with warmth and professionalism. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the meal.

The ambiance was charming, The cozy booths and modern look. It was a good setting for enjoying a delicious meal with friends and family.

In addition to the fantastic food and service, it offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great choice for diners looking for quality meals without breaking the bank.
