Just had a heated discussion outside of Bonefish Grill with owner. I ordered food here (as I always do) for pickup specifically - since Covid to respect their mask policy. The last two times I have ordered food for pickup I would call to tell them I am outside for curbside pick up ...I was told to come in to pick up my food.
Today...I go in to let them know I am here to pick up my food (because the last two times I called, they told me to come in) well ..owner walks up and ask me to wear a mask. I politely told him no thanks I will wait outside. They brought my food to me outside and I checked to see that an item was missing.
I then opened the door (feet literally planted outside) and mentioned my item was missing and they were acting all uptight again. Telling me I cant be inside without mask. I was literalIy still outside!!
Here is the deal...I cannot wear masks. I will not wear a mask. I am still attempting to patronize this establishment respectfully. Bonefish....if you advertise curbside pickup then ....make sure to offer it AS ADVERTISED. This is a difficult time for everyone...but when I asked to speak with you Mr Owner....you made it personal sir. You were most insistent on "correcting me" and my thought process instead of having your establishment on point. You made excuses for your advertised curbside service not being available (new employees, etc) but you had no understanding, mercy or patience for me and how you made me feel as a paying customer. WOW!
The way you tried to scold me outside of your establishment today makes it clear you care more about the organization than the organism.
This is why the world has become what it is.
UPDATE* 3 Stars added!
To Joe ( owner) of Bonefish Grill - Little Rock. I believe...deep down in my soul that you were operating out of worry and fear that day...grace and peace to you.
To Robert - w/French pronunciation Classy name for a classy guy ;-)
I would give 10 Stars (if possible) to Bonefish's Customer Relations!
The gentleman I spoke with, contacted me via phone within 24 hours of the incident. He was not at all happy with how I was treated and apologized. He did all he could to make things right. Thank you Robert. YOU sir, are the reason I will give Bonefish Grill another chance! Continued blessings to...
Read moreI joined them on 12-13-2023 for the martini dinner.. it will most certainly be the last. The martini dinner was nothing but microwaved food with lack luster drinks. Let’s start with the Brussel sprout salad.. terrible! Brown lettuce and BARELY any salad dressing. I understand the meal is priced at the low end but a teaspoon more of salad dressing couldn’t possibly cost them more than $2. To say the least it was a very painful salad to eat.. the frosted rosemary martini was delicious (please do not change it). The second course was a seafood mush pasta dish.. yuck to say the least the pasta was over cooked and the mussels were rubbery.. not to mention the shrimp seemed like it was cooked a few times before being served.. the dish overall was something that I rather not think about or taste again. The partridge in a pear tree martini was nothing special and didn’t really match the seafood dish. Course three was the grouper with smoky tomato butter.. now I will admit I was most excited about this dish but was easily disappointed when the fish arrived cold with a big lump of cold butter on top. The fish was seasoned nicely and could have saved this entire dinner but the lack of care and effort just wasn’t there. The green beans were nice and fresh but the risotto was a bit spicy for my liking. The white winter cosmo was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. Last but not least was the lovely or not so lovely refrigerated chocolate lava cake that seemed like it had been forgotten at the back of the refridgrator and found again. It didn’t match its lovely description … there was no molten center nor any strawberries.. just a cold center and strawberry syrup.. and did I mention since there was 2 of us we had to split it.. what a joke. Let’s not get started on the horrific gingerbread espresso martini.. not a good match for the stale chocolate cake and was not good by itself just tasted like chocolate and vodka.. Overall this dinner was bad. Not worth the $55 plus the additional $6 for the liquor tax.. I wish bonefish the best… but I will not be back to see if any changes will be made. Also 10/10 to the server Hope. She was a delight and appeared to be the only person...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: We ate at Bonefish Grill for my daughter's birthday weekend. It was not the usual Bonefish standards that we are accustomed to. The bang bang shrimp was good; however, my fish tacos were soggy at the bottom, and couldn't contain the filling. The taco shells were too wet! I wish they would toast the shells a little more so that it doesn't fall apart when you pick it up. The worst meal of the night was the fish and chips. It was so bad that we had to send them back. It seemed as if they fried the fish in a ton of grease. It was everywhere, and by everywhere, I mean all over the table, our hands, etc. It was enough to oil your hands down, and then some! To make matters even worse, the fish had so much crunchy breading on it, that you couldn't even see the fish. It looked as if they took a big fish, and sliced it as thin as they could get it, and then tried to cover it up with the enormous breading. The lobster tail was dry, and the butter they sent with it was tasteless. I wish I had my bottle of garlic salt to give it some flavor. It was more than a disappointing night, especially spending nearly $100 on a meal that was barely edible. I feel like we truly wasted our money!! I am not sure when or if I will go back there. If I do, I hope our meals will be much better than they were last Friday night. At least the sweet tea and donuts were good! Our waitress, Emily, was also friendly! We ate at the Bonefish Grill recently, and the food as well as the atmosphere was amazing! Someone suggested we start off with the Bang Bang Shrimp and Ahi Tuna Sashimi as appetizers, because we would love it, and they were absolutely right! I had the Baja Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa, and the rest of my family had the Fontina Chop, Kobe Beef Burger, Fish and Chips, and Bang Bang Shrimp taco. All of these dishes were excellent. I highly recommend Bonefish Grill. Kelcie, our waitress also gave excellent service! The only negative thing that I have to say is that I wish they would open earlier during the weekday, and offer a take...
