Originally I sent in great reviews for the bedroom set that I bought approximately 2 years ago. It was beautiful and the sales associate was great. When the set was about 1 year old the rails where it attaches to the headboard broke, the wood was splintered and totally split. After Bassett reviewed the broken bed I had a choice of receiving a small amount of money or replacing the bed with the understanding that the new bed would have no warranty. I chose to have it replaced. Approximately 1 year later the new bed frame broke and my grown grandson complained that there was something wrong with the mattress. Since there was no warranty on the bed it went to the curb for trash pickup. The mattress and box springs was set on the floor until I could get to a store to purchase another bed. My Grandson asked me to come look at his mattress and I saw a HUGE dip/pothole. No wonder he had been complaining of his back hurting. I immediately called Basset and they came to inspect. After a few days they notified me that because the bed was sitting on the floor there was no warranty for the mattress and box springs. I explained it was on the concrete slab floor because their bed broke and had only been there a short time. That made no difference. So within a 2 year span I have no bed or mattress and now must go purchase all new. I had expected my purchase at Bassett to be better quality than this was and certainly expected this bedroom set to last longer than 2 years. VERY disappointed and will not purchase anything from Bassett again. This is a lesson learned...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I start? We bought a beautiful wood table from them in March of 2023. It was delivered in May 2023 but the legs were incorrect. I called our salesman, Kathy, where she proceeded to accuse my husband and I of being āindecisiveā so it wasnāt their fault. This was before I could even tell her my receipt says the correct legs. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Needless to say they had to order a whole new table that we didnāt get until much much later (months). The new table is delivered with the correct legs and all is well. When the new table was delivered the leaf was not put into the table and was safely stored away for future use. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we finally have a need for the leaf and it doesnāt fit. At all. I call Bassett and they say it is out of warranty so thereās nothing they can do about it even though I purchased all the insurance on the table. By the way, insurance will cover damage such as water rings or children coloring on it, but it wonāt cover something that was their fault all along like an ill fitting leaf. The manager that got back to me was nice but I donāt feel like this is acceptable after spending so much and having insurance. We saved for this table that we cannot use to its full potential. All of this to say, save your hard earned money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been dealing with Bassett/Traci for 2 or 3 years now and I have to say it has been a most pleasant experience. Traci is very dedicated at her job and has wonderful people skills and exceptional interior decorating skills, which makes the task of building furniture, that will blend with the rest of your funishings, seem easy. Their selection of fabrics is amazing.
One question you should ask, is will the retailer your dealing with stand behind their products. Bassett does!!! They built a large sofa for me, that required additional legs to support the sofa. The factory packed 2 addtional legs under one of the sofa cushions, which I thought was thoughful on their part.
Well, the shipment of the sofa and delivery cause those wooden legs to shift back and forth a little and it caused a slight damage to the material. I did not even notice it unitl my daughter saw it on one of her visits from Arizona. I called Traci (which was several months after the delivery) and described what had occurred and she shiped me a full set of cushion covers at not cost. That is the kind of customer service you can expect from Traci and the staff at Basset...
