If you looking for authentic and great tasting Mexican food, this is definitely not type of restaurant that you would want to take your family for lunch or dinner. Today, my girlfriend and I decided to try out something new. First of all the food was so disgusting, it made me sick, which later had sent me to the restroom sick to my stomach. I had the steak fajitas, which were horribly seasoned and tasted awful. my girlfriend had the enchilada and taco cambo. First of all to have a plain tortilla with a little bit of melted cheese in it, clearly does not make it a authentic enchilada. They gave us Uber They then brought chips that were oversalted. what I thought was tortilla soup was actually just a bowl of broth with a couple tortilla strips that tasted exactly like chicken broth. Honestly my opinion about this restaurant is there's nothing Mexican about it at all. If you're going to serve Mexican food then your food better be good because honestly it was the other way around. This was one of our worst experiences yet at a restaurant we will definitely not be coming back again and to also has a waitress who wanted us to pay for part of meal, that is just crazy to me. The entire time my girlfriend sat at the table all she wanted to do was walk out. If I could honestly give them zero Stars I would but the least that I could give...
Read moreI love Chuy’s. The food is unlike any other Mexican restaurant. They have their own spicy flair. At this point I have eaten at Chuy’s in Atlanta, Chattanooga, Jeffersonville, Little Rock, and probably somewhere I missed. We waited about 30 minutes after being given a 20 minute wait time.
On this trip we had a fantastic bubbly waitress who was a joy to get served by.
The chips are thin and awesome. The salsa is fresh, not from canned tomatoes, but has a great spicy kick. But what I like better than the salsa is dipping chips in their jalapeño ranch. It’s to die for. Whenever I’m near a Chuy’s, I always stop and take my wife some home. Even if it has to ride 8 hours.
My favorite meal at Chuy’s is the fantastic beef fajitas. I haven’t found anything else that comes close. There’s just nothing like piling the toppings on a freshly made tortilla and adding some jalapeño ranch.
I have been to Chuy’s many times. Probably more so than any other restaurant I can think of in the last 5 years. And...I will definitely be back.
My only issue on this trip was their insistence to wear a mask to walk 10 feet to our table and then take it off. Masks have become a judging point in society and it is just plain crazy. Science will tell you a thin paper or cloth mask will not stop a virus. Please stop the...
Read moreI love Chuy's, but this location has consistently failed in service and for quality. The tortillas are crispy, not warm and fluffy. The salsa is watery with just heat and some veggie chunks.
We stopped by for dinner and ordered a veggie enchilada and chicken quesadillas. The enchilada was standard fare. But the quesadillas had burned onions. When staff finally stopped by to ask about the food, I showed her the food. The black stuff was inedible.
When the manager stopped by to chat, I was told that it takes an hour to caramelize the onions and then it is saved. That batch had been made at 4 pm (and it was 7 pm now) and that was standard. Really?? It tasted like the scrapings from the grill. No taste and looked terrible.
They offered to make me a new order. This time they added onions and peppers. It was ok, but by the time I got the food, the others at the table were done eating. I took it home and it was ok but it was NOT a quesadilla. I have eaten this meal at many Chuy's in Texas and even here. Very disappointed.
I included photos of both versions of the meal.
An hour wasted and money spent on low quality food and service. We had to wait for drink refills and tortillas. I love Chuy's but I'm not sure I want to waste any more time or money at...
