I'd heard that Crazee's catfish is particularly good, so I went there specifically to try it. I found it pretty good, well-fried, not greasy, if a bit on the unseasoned and bland side. The onion rings we ordered along with our fish dinners were especially good – also well-fried and ungreasy, with a batter that was pleasantly crunchy and might have contained some cornmeal.
The fish dinners come with two sides. I chose cole slaw and green tomato relish; my dining companion chose slaw and potato salad. Re: the slaw, he put the point well when he said, "I like the texture of the slaw even if it is a bit on the sweet side."
The slaw consists of nice chunks of cabbage mixed with chopped tomatoes, and I agree that the dressing is on the sweet side. It's hard, in fact, to find cole slaw anywhere in Arkansas any longer that's not tantamount to a dessert. Ditto for the hushpuppies, which I left alone after having taken a bite and found them sweet.
The potato salad, on the other hand, was not sweet, but had a nice mustard-seasoned mayonnaise dressing. Green tomato relish is always sweetened, it goes without saying, so no surprises there – except that it's not so much a relish here (as in ground or finely chopped pickled vegetables with seasoning) as it is chunks of green tomatoes cooked in a seasoned syrup.
Our meal was not bad. I'd go back to Crazee's, though there are other local catfish eateries that, to my palate, have better fish. It just wasn't wonderful. Things seemed to lack sufficient seasoning, though they were well-prepared.
Everyone we dealt with was super-nice, and that's a big plus. The place is spacious, with well-spaced tables, and it's neat as a pin, more pluses. And, of course, Crazee's serves more than catfish, so it might be worth visiting for hamburgers or sandwiches, things I didn't try on my single...

Crazies Café is the kind of place you don’t just stumble upon—you hear about it from someone who knows good food. A true hole-in-the-wall with a loyal following, this popular diner and bar on Cantrell Road has made a name for itself with incredible food, a laid-back atmosphere, and a deep love for all things Razorbacks.
One of the biggest draws is the catfish, sourced straight from Mississippi. They cook it to absolute perfection—crispy, seasoned just right, and packed with flavor. If you're a catfish fan, it’s an absolute must-try. And if you want the full experience, don’t leave without trying the coleslaw and tomato relish. It might just change your life.
But the catfish isn’t the only standout on the menu. The cheeseburger at Crazies is arguably one of the best in Little Rock. Juicy, flavorful, and everything you want in a classic, no-frills burger. Then there’s the footlong hot dog—simple, well-made, and absolutely delicious. It’s the kind of meal that hits the spot every time.
Crazies Café is also one of the best spots in town to catch a Razorback game. Whether it’s football, basketball, or baseball, if the Hogs are playing, it’s on the TVs. The energy is always high, and there’s a beer special to go with it.
The only downside? Service can be a little slow at times. But what they might lack in speed, they make up for with friendly waitstaff and a welcoming atmosphere.
At the end of the day, Crazies Café is the kind of place that keeps people coming back. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is easygoing, and if you love the Razorbacks, you’ll feel right at home. Whether you’re stopping in for the catfish, a burger, or just a cold beer while watching the game, you won’t be...
Read moreas a restaurant owner myself, i decided to try this place despite the multiple bad reviews only for them to be proven right. i ordered their catfish sandwich with okra and slaw. the okra was the only thing edible. the fish was rock soild and had no flavor. and the slaw didn’t even look like slaw, just dried out cabbage. there was only two servers on the floor and one said she had only been there for two days and she was better than the other. on top of that, the other server that had been there longer, stood by the bar and just chatted with the bartender the whole hour i was there waiting on my food and only saw her leave the bar once and she only walked around the restaurant once, didn’t stop at any tables, and then went right back to the bar to chat. what seems to be the owner (i might be wrong) was really rude to not only the server that had been there for a short period, but also me as well. needless to say, i didnt tip in store, overpaid for my inedible food, and offered the new server an assistant manager position at my restaurant in hot springs. save yourself the...
