David's Burgers — Restaurant in Little Rock

I am actually shocked by the service here last night. Usually David's has great service, but last night was... Off.

My wife and I came to David's last night and ordered meals for us and take-out for our son and grandson. With the way we ordered, I can understand some confusion(My wife and I love to dine in here) with 2 burgers being made to go and two for dine-in.

I paid for the meals(almost $60!), and we went to our table. We did not get our receipt for proof of purchase. The place was clean(never had a problem with cleanliness with David's), but the music was LOUD! So loud that I left the place with a headache from the loudness of the music. Now I love me some golden oldies, but when it's so loud that I can't hear my wife a mere FOUR FEET AWAY, that's a problem!

We waited for our burgers and got the take-out ones first, but waited ~20 minutes for our dine-in meals. Luckily, another waitress tended to us and asked what we ordered and I told her.

While waiting, I overheard one of the employees saying that a waitress got her check, quit and left, which is NEVER a good sign. After a few more minutes, we received our supposedly dine-in burgers, but they were confused for more take-out. So my wife and I just ate from the containers, but I confused my burger(Double with pepper jack cheese & bacon), with another burger(double with American cheese and bacon) because they were all in take-out containers instead of half take-out half dine-in. I love David's Burgers and brag about it online as it's one of Arkansas's best burger chains, but I'm really hoping nothing like this happens for a...

The atmosphere was great. The service was good, but combining everything that customer-service entails, I took off 2 stars because I had to return to the restaurant two times after driving off. My take-out meal, which wasn't a burger, but only two patties with mushrooms & onions (I disappointed myself there, that was my mistake, I expected a burger place to only serve... Burgers) did not include silverware. I had 3 burger combos and my patty meal (4 meals total) and only one ketchup and like 2 napkins were in the bag. Upon taking one meal out, my brand-new purse got ruined from the oil that was leaking out of the containers. When I returned to the store to ask for more napkins, I was handed about 4. And if you've eaten there, you know the grease that leaks out isn't easily cleaned up by those thin napkins. I will say that everyone there was kind and took your order with a smile, but it's all about the experience, and having to return to a place twice after driving off didn't exactly leave me feeling like I had made a good decision to stop there in the first place.

I'm sure the food is great when you eat it in a good mood. I wasn't, I was annoyed after my experience and having ruined my purse, so I can't give an accurate review of the food. My passenger ate it like it was the last burger in the world, so I can safely assume it was good.

I normally don't even write reviews but leaving a review for this place is a must. My girlfriend and I decided to eat here this evening. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the restaurant staff, cool. The food is a bit pricey for the poor quality. We spent 18 bucks and some change for 2 single burger combos. As we were waiting on our burgers, a waiter comes along and asks us do we want fries while we wait, we told him yes. This guy sits a piece of paper on the table and dumps our fries on it. Some of our fries were touching the bare table which was an instant turn off for us. When I'm paying 8+ dollars on a burger, I want a real burger. We received our burgers and the ground beef was super thin, and don't even let me get started on those french fries. Those french fries are more like potato SKINS, thin and crunchy. They have no taste, and they are soaked in the grease that they come out of. I stopped eating fast food, but I literally would have enjoyed a whopper from burger king for just about the same price. Their floors were absolutely filthy and needed to be mopped, and overall, it was just a waste of money. We will never be back to be ripped off on those little thin burgers, and nasty fries. This place is really a knock off 5 guys with 5 guys prices, but no where near the 5 guys taste and quality. Don't waste your time and...
