Exceptional food and experience. The food is served in covered clay pots and so many authentic foods to choose from like cactus or queso, candied oranges and the most delicious sweet and SPICY tomatillo salsa.
Many meat entrees and several beans dishes too. The rice is very tasty as is the squash! I enjoyed making my own tostadas with chicken tinga and loading it with fresh topping from the salad bar. Cabbage, onions, cilantro, sauces and even cubed white cheese.
Very interesting foods, clean, neat and hot corn tortillas brought to the table as well. Our plates were removed several times but drink refills were offered only once. Maybe I was just extra thirsty from the delicious salsa.
Highly recommend this dining experience!

Read moreI spotted this little place on the map so I had to try it cuz you hardly ever see Mexican buffets. They have rice, beans and a variety of beef and pork dishes in various types of sauces. They also have chips and queso which I used to make some steak nachos. Everything was pretty decent except for the fried chicken. It looked highly questionable but I tried a piece anyways. It was dreadful. It's like they just dunked raw unseasoned and unbreaded chicken legs in grease and dam near cremated them. They were desert sand dry. They also had some chicharones which were ok. The service was fine and the price was reasonable so I'll probably revisit sometime. I'll just be sure to avoid...
Read moreI was in the Little Rock area and asked a few people that I randomly saw to recommend a Good Mexican Restaurant and they all said El Canelo. Driving up sign is Cheap, Building on both the outside and inside we're not very pleasing. Waitresses were more interested in CHISME rather than taking care of customers. Food was luke warm and tortillas were cold, food at the buffet should be labeled. Atmosphere, No music and all you here are the waitresses Chismiando. Luckily for Me and My Wife we were just passing by, but my recommendation is that the owner needs to take pride in his heritage and exactly what True Mexican Food Should Taste...
