This used to be my favorite restaurant in Little Rock. I used to make the drive all the way from a different city because I really enjoyed eating there. Sadly, that is no longer the case. Over the past year, every time I visited, the experience got worse and worse. The food is either dry or soaked in an overwhelmingly sweet or salty sauce, the portions are smaller and there are almost no veggies in the entrées. I could tell that the cooks are not following any recipes because the food has been so inconsistent. The food is also too expensive for how awful it is. A frozen microwave Asian meal from Walmart is about the same if not better than what I've been getting. The service is pretty terrible too. I placed an order 15 minutes before I got to the restaurant, and it took 45 minutes for it to be ready, the staff didn't even apologize about the wait and the food was very disappointing. The rice was undercooked and there was hardly any broccoli in the Beef and broccoli dish. One time I was there, the AC was leaking and water was puddled all over the floor with soaked dirty rags everywhere, and there was a huge roach in the bathroom. I tried to give this place multiple chances hoping that it would be different, but every time it's been the same or worse. I sent an email to the Peiwei Service Team Website expressing my dissatisfaction, and an auto response mentioned that someone will get in touch with me soon. Now the cashier needs to work on being HONEST! I had put a order in on my lunch break which was supposed go take “15 min”. I understand sometimes short staff, very buisy day etc etc . Can back things up ALOT ! That is NOT A PROBLEM!!!! The Problem is when I ask how long my food is going to take after I already waited 15 min ! And I’m told 5 and 5 min was actually more then 30! The young man kept lying . He could of just been honest and said it would be more then 30 min. I asked him again and he told me they where “working on it” . Waited 20 min and asked again. Told me they where on the last part of my order . My break was over by then ! Me and many other only get a 30 MIN BREAK!!! He was NOT HONEST! That is not fair to me I did not get to eat ! I asked for a refund because he told me to go ASK THE COOKS HOW LONG IT WOULD BE! Like are you going to ask me to make my food next . That’s your job! You guys this is ridiculous . After I requested my money back he mouthed on how he was doing the best he could and I believe him BUT please be honest. Read moreI ordered online for a later pickup time, received confirmation, went to pick up my food and to my surprise they have no order and nothing pending. Pei Wei charged my cc 0.10. Upon investigation they send an email after confirming my order stating the order didn’t go through. I worried I was going to be double charged if I reordered since they precharged my account apparently? I ordered anyways because I was on my way to work. There was no one else but me there. The cook wasn’t working on any orders. And they had mentioned several times there were no pending orders. I wait and wait and wait for my food. One by one no less than 8 people come and go with their orders, one placed an in person order AFTER I reordered my food. I waited over 30 mins for them to get my food ready. And to top it off, they burned some of my food. I will never be going back till they get some staff who actually put forth effort and try to do the right thing. Like, “oh your order didn’t go through and that’s our fault, we’ll get that started right now” seeing how I ordered it around 5pm to pick up at 530.
