This place makes me so mad, because they acted ridiculously. We placed a three person order. I just had surgery, gastric sleeve, and wanted an omelette with eggs only to Portion out for future meals. They understood perfectly that I just asked for a pure egg, no pancake batter, omelet; And, I proceeded to order the rest. First, they are out of stock on a bunch of items always - You will not be able to have anything with glazed strawberries on it, No chocolate syrup, no bananas, and no whipped cream if you order via phone or online. Second, When we got our order, part of it was in error, And they had left off the avocados off of my omelet that they charged us almost 3 dollars for - when my fiancé called to the store about the order, He tried to explain that he is handicapped with Parkinson’s And that he was going to accept the part of the order that was in error and could he please be refunded for the avocados, so that he did not have to drive back up there which is a big chore for him with Parkinson’s Disease. They would not listen, and automatically their attitude shifted - We were given a manager named Lisa, And she kept saying, using a very rude voice and very quickly (Which is why we had to call back, because my Fiancé could not understand her and got Emotionally upset) “ We don’t do refunds.” I think she said that four times in a rude voice over two calls. It was like $2.87, and at this point I was getting angry Both for the way they treated my handicapped fiancé on the phone - It is easy to tell that he has a problem, because he speaks very slowly, And for the fact that this restaurant is going to charge us three dollars for nothing. My fiancé is driving back there right now to get something the same amount as the avocados or get the avocados themselves. The error was that we ordered chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, and they gave us chocolate chip pancakes (Not the chocolate batter ones). We were willing to keep the order, and now, they have to take back the chocolate chip pancakes, and provide my fiancé with the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes and Provide us with the avocados that we were going to be charged $2.87 for, The value of an order of pancakes because “ We don’t do refunds.” - Apparently, they don’t do handicap people either. For the value of an order of avocados, they have lost a customer for life at that store; No one should have to get that mad over a store charging them $3 for nothing and forcing them to drive back up there to retrieve it - That seems to border on fraud behavior.
When he returned the order to get the avocados, They would not exchange his chocolate chip pancakes for chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, even They had the wrong order wrong, They told my fiancé it was an “upgrade” which I’m assuming is that they were maybe 50 Cent more. He did not understand what they meant, so he kept the chocolate chip pancakes, Because we know that those are an upgrade - They did not explain to him that they needed amount more for the other pancakes Any other restaurant would have just exchanged the pancakes.
Thank you to Lisa + staff for your time and your courteous behavior today toward My fiancé, who is only trying to help me after surgery. Niceness goes a long way, and they ended up losing more money than they could’ve...
Read moreI visited this IHOP on June 23rd and it was the worst experience I have ever had at an IHOP. I have eaten at IHOP all life and in different states from California to North Carolina and this was hands down THE WORST experience. We were seated by a nice young man. He was very pleasant and friendly. After seated "she" walked up. She being the worst waitress I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Now I would like to add that I've frequented this IHOP since I moved to little rock about 18 years ago and I've never had a bad experience. We asked about the drinks, specifically refills on orange juice first. She proceeds to tell us very blunt and aggressively "no free refills on milk, juice, coffee" ok "what about lemonade?" which she responded only regular lemonade has free refills the flavored one does not. But the menu clearly states flavored lemonade have free refills which I pointed out to her. This was after she said she'd give us more time, while trying to ask her questions. We both noticed the hostility. When I pointed out that the flavored lemonade did have free refills I believe I pissed her off because the attitude became disgustingly apparent. We asked about the sausage patty and when we pointed out what the menu said there were two things apparent: she did not know the menu and she should not be in customer service. Us asking simple questions and trying to clarify the menu caused us to have one of the worst, of not the worst experience. We received no more refills, she did not check on us, did not deliver our food and barely glanced at our table. She took a break while we were waiting on our food. But had no problem putting the receipt on the table and walking off without checking on us. I asked the manager for a refill in which this very unpleasant waitress brings out. I refused to cosume anything from her because her anger and hostility was so unwarranted. I told her I wanted a different server and she proceeds to tell me "You can't have one!!" loud and aggressive again. "that's fine I'll get my manager!!" she spews and she stomps off with the drinks we refused. We no longer want our food because we did absolutely nothing to this waitress. She needs to either be retrained on hospitality because the glaring and unapproachable body language isn't how you make tips or treat customers. Or she needs to find another job. I will not be returning to this particular IHOP anymore. I'm glad it isn't my first time at an because it most definitely would have been my last. The only reason I left two stars is because everyone else we came into contact with was pleasant and the manager really tried to make the...
Read moreI'm done with this place. Management has a bad attitude, and honestly, the food isn't good enough to deal with it. Story time:
I ordered carryout: a Smokehouse combo, eggs scrambled, substitute the pancakes with the Hawaiian french toast.
I was not told over the phone they didn't have the Hawiian french toast anymore. First mistake, but easily forgiveable.
When I got there, they explained this to me. I asked if they could just do the regular french toast instead.
What I get are pancakes and french toast. So, instead of 11 and some change I was quoted over the phone, the total is now 17. Second mistake, but I may not have been clear so I let it slide.
I explained I wanted to substitute the pancakes. Guy goes back there to fix it. Lady walks up and asks if I'm being helped. I say the guy was fixing it, but she walked up like she wanted to know more, so I started explaining. I get half a sentence out, she interrupts me and tells her manager, "Come over here and help her." Third mistake, trying to stay calm at this point.
I didn't ask for a manger. I was just waiting for my damn food. So, the rude manager comes over like I'm inconveniencing her when I didn't ask for this. I know what it's like to be a manager, so I let this slide since she didn't know I wasn't trying to be a pain.
I finally get my food and my total was now 12.97. Okay, whatever. But then she tried to passive aggressively get rid of me when I gave her my money. Normally I don't care about 3 pennies, but at this point, yes, I want my pennies. Fourth mistake, properly aggravated at this point.
I leave the store, and I cool it off. I work in food service. I get it; these things happen. I get home, and there's cheese in my scrambled eggs. Never asked for it. Never wanted it. Fifth mistake. Finally hit the end of my rope.
I call back, explain all this to manager. She was completely despondent. No sorry. Just asking me what she wants her to do about it. Last mistake.
I shouldn't have to ask. I work in food service. I know things get tough at times, but this place is in a toxic loop.
Things go wrong, they get mad at the customer, but if they didn't mess up orders all the time, they wouldn't have to be so damn salty. Y'all are not doing rocket science; you're doing breakfast.
I really really really want this Ihop to be good, but I've literally only had one good experience there. I tried to give y'all a chance. The manager offered me a free replacement breakfast at the end, but honestly, I don't really want to bother at this point.
All I wanted...
