Scallions — Restaurant in Little Rock

Years ago when I worked in Little Rock, Scallions Chicken Salad and Cheese Soup Special was my lunch time staple. I loved it. To this day, I can’t find anyone who makes chicken salad dressing as well as Scallions, and I’ve looked all over the world. This week on my visit to Little Rock and to satisfy my nostalgia, I stopped by for lunch again. The cheese soup and chicken salad dressing were marvelous as ever. Maybe my palate has changed with age, but the chicken was tougher than I like in chicken salad and the cream cheese in the finger sandwiches were a bit too salty, hence the four stars for food. In other reviews, I read that the alternative to finger sandwiches, poppy seed muffin, is very good so I just made the wrong choice.

Billie is the most amazing server. Not only did she quickly take my orders when she was busy. She also gave me a hug, treated me like family, and always had a smile on her face at work. Billie also made my law school graduation celebration so amazing. She took care of my whole family and all of my friends and made it so special, putting up extra decorations around the restaurant and even entertaining everyone and taking photos of all of us. I have been eating here since high school and I graduated from the Famous Little Rock Central High in 2001! Back to the restaurant lol, I especially like their soup but I cant recall the name. It is cheesy and if you tell them you want there famous cheesy soup they'll know what you mean! If you're in the area and have 30-45 mins its definitely worth the time!
