Please find a more appropriate way of verifying online customer orders because it's not fair to harass your innocent paying customers because someone claiming to be doordash comes in and steals orders. Do not do online orders for your business if that's how we will be treated. I feel like if I did not have my phone to prove my order to the owner then I would not have gotten my order nor my money back especially after traveling from Bryant on my hour lunch break to support the business. I put in my order at 11:30 and the tracking showed it would not be ready until over 2 hours later and when i got there there was only 1 customer in the restaurant. I showed the owner proof of my order along with identification and that still wasn't good enough because I had to show her several confirmations via text and email but she wanted to see the actual picture of what I ordered. I understand her reasoning for being leary and hesitant but you will lose a lot more business doing that to your online customers. I was very offended and that's not the first time the owner has done that to me. Verifying my name and order would have been enough because everyone doesn't have phones and other devices to show you a picture!!! Don't get me wrong, I always thoroughly enjoy what I order and I do feel badly about your orders being stolen by people that deceive you but there has got to be a better way to verify your online orders without offending, upsetting and causing inconvenience to your...
Read moreSo I had egusi for the first time over the holidays on the East coast and it was amazing . I came home to see if I could get some good egusi and this was the first place I tried .It was absolutely awful . First of all it’s too expensive to taste the way that it does . I ordered 2 egusi soups one with chicken one with smoked turkey , fried rice with jerk chicken, planarian. The egusi was not flavorful at all and didn’t really have any spicy heat . Next I tried the fried rice and it was ok. Very dry but it did have some flavor . The jerk chicken seems to have been heated up and it had absolutely no spice. The plantain was good. It wasn’t great but it was good . I’ve had Puerto Rican plantain many times and Jamaican plantain and both are delicious . This was close , but fell flat . The pounded yam for the egusi was actually very well done . I’ve had it and it was sticky before but this wasn’t . I just wish it would’ve had a good egusi to pair with . The customer service was not there at all. No smile . Very transactional . The restaurant was very clean . It was empty, but it was directly after work hours so people may not have trickled in yet . I really wanted to love it . I just think that they need to tweak the...
Read moreUpon walking in I get a very uninviting look on the face of a lady who didn't even bother to greet us let alone talk to us, hand us a menu or even come to our table to take our order. When asked if we wanted to pay before our meal or after we said before and she just rolled her eyes at us like how dare us make her do her job all 30 seconds of ringing up a purchase! Picked out 4 different side dishes only to be told they didn't make any sides that day... The one side that they did have that we ordered we didn't even get with our order...
The flavor of my food was okay But the food was not fresh! Not even hot!! not even sure it was made that day and who the heck wants to eat cold leftover chicken wings?? I mean if I wanted leftovers for my birthday I would have just stayed home and found something in my fridge! Had to trade in our drink because almost all the pop in their cooler is old and flat!! To be honest I don't even know how the health department has allowed this company to stay open! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE...
