Tokyo House — Restaurant in Little Rock

I go to Tokyo House on a regular bases. Usually we are a group of at least 6-10 people. The food is fresh, the variety is big and the Sushi bar is top! But the service is terrible! Every server I had until today, was standing in a corner near the table and were watching us like a hawk! That makes me uncomfortable! They grab the plate as soon as you finished it, even tho you still have your fork in your hand or still chewing! Constantly asking if everything is ok. I mean it’s ok to ask every once in a while but not every 5 mins. Let me eat in peace! Today, I went and our waitress was so annoying! She didn’t leave us alone. I felt like we were not able to have a conversation without her, interrupting us! I don’t wanna be rushed when I am going out to eat! I get it when it would be busy, but it wasn’t because we went for lunch and right when they opened. I usually tip the server, but I did not today, because I didn’t feel like she did a good job. When she took our receipt books she IMMEDIATELY checked the tip and when she saw that I didn’t tip she crunched up my receipt and THREW the little booklet back on the table!!!! I never write these reviews but this was horrible!!! I thought I’d treat myself after work today so decided to come here worst idea ever! Worse restaurant on the planet. When I sat down the waitress asked me once if I was okay and never looked my wait again for like 30 or so minutes (I get if you’re busy, but she was just skipping me). I didn’t want buffet food but I thought I’d try it and it was not good (but that’s not the point). I continued to wait and make eye contact for the waitress to acknowledge me just to order a drink she kept going to every other table but mine. I had only ate a little food then got up told the lady at the front that I ate a little food and that the waitress was not helpful and she was just looking at me and so I walked out then she walked out behind asking me to pay 22 dollars for basically nothing which I wasn’t trying to get out of paying she just didn’t say anything when I said what I said so I walked out. Then she tries to argue with me about what I said before I walked out (saying I didn’t say I ate). I went ahead and paid because I took a few bites and I’m not like that but again this is the worst service I have ever gotten and the food is not good at all and horrible service!!! !...

On 02/21/22 me and my girlfriend decided to try this establishment for the first time. We were excited to try this establishment out. We got seated and when and got our food. When we sat back down at our table, my girlfriend said what is that on the wall. I turned around and there was a roach on the wall as seen in the picture. I then proceeded to take a picture to show the manager that there was a roach in their establishment. A server was walking by as I was taking a picture and looked directly at me as I was taking the picture and continued to walk pass me. Not once did she say sir why are you taking a picture or is there something wrong. My girlfriend went to talk to the manager and told her we saw a roach. The manager then said, " would you like to sit somewhere else". So, when my girlfriend said no, we do not want to sit anywhere else we want to leave. The manager told us our total as if we didn’t just see a roach. Long review short we were able to leave without paying, but in my experience with roaches, if there is one roach, there are more around. So, for whoever is reading this review.
