I’ll make the drive to the one at North Star. This is the first time I’ve ever NOT left a tip‼️ and I used to be a server and bartender so I always tip ABOVE what I should! Let’s get started.
We come in. The hostess was nice! She tells us to expect a 25-30 minute wait. No problem! We waited outside and just talked with our family. I check in to see how much longer as it said we had a 0 minute wait left when I clicked the link to check. Then she said it was going to be a little longer. I said ok. Then her and who I assume to be a manager found us a spot before I could even turn back around and go back outside. So I went to get the family to sit down and then we went and sat at a table that was open when we got there in the first place lol. And there’s a lot more open seating as well. We brushed it off, whatever, maybe they didn’t have enough servers and they were trying to not overload their staff, fair enough! Our server came over after we sat down. Got our drink order. And we placed our appetizer orders at that time. She seemed to be irritated already but that’s fine, everyone has bad days. We brush it off, too. She comes back with the drinks, we order food for the kids, she leaves.….awhile goes by. We are looking around for her so we can order our food..she finally is near another table so we wave her down. She said let me close these people out so they can leave, I just don’t want people sitting.…which is exactly what we were doing 🤣 but I digress. She comes back to take our order and I ask about the appetizers. She said the kitchen is backed up so it’s taking a little longer. Ok, that’s fine…..the appetizers finally come out and they’re barely even lukewarm lol my toddler was about to eat a mozzarella bite immediately off the plate. So obviously the apps were just sitting there. Already done. Then eventually our kids food comes out. It’s also not hot. Even the grilled cheese they had to “go find because the kitchen messed up” wasn’t hot. The plate was hot. So maybe it was under a warmer for awhile. But my kid was able to eat the food immediately. So we are sitting there for a bit longer. And at this point the kids are ready to go and so are we. So I ask the manager to cancel our order. He was nice enough. He apologized, kitchen is backed up. Said he could check how much longer. I told him no we just wanted to cancel it all. Weirdly enough, our food just so happened to magically appear as soon as we did that. So we sent it back saying we just cancelled it. Mind you, the server had already been visibly irritated the whole time. We just assumed she’s been having a hard shift and just didn’t realize she had an attitude. We’ve all been there. We understood. But as soon as that happened and she closed our tabs, she increased the attitude. And then when we tried to give her our cards as she yet again kept passing our table, she grabbed my mother in laws card and receipt and snidely said “got it” so much that even I heard the eye roll. Ok. Now that’s a problem. And to top it all off, she went back to where the host stand was to run the cards, whole time there was another server right there and they were definitely talking about us because the other server kept looking at us lol and then the manager was also talking to her too. So I went up and I said I’ll take the cards because I’m not going to tolerate her being rude to my mother in law. She said I wasn’t being rude, she just started yelling at me ma’am. Like I wasn’t just there to witness it. Yes, my mother in law told you to lose the attitude, rightfully so since we had been dealing with it for awhile now. So I said no, I just saw the whole thing. And also, the kitchen excuses are really lame given the fact that everything came out lukewarm and cold. We would have dealt with everything else, we enjoy the food. but the service was horrendous. And it’s not a kitchen issue if the kitchen is getting stuff out and it’s just sitting there...
Read moreVisited this location Feb 1st 2025 for the first time. We sat at the bar. Ordered a bucket of beer, fried pickles for the app and a cheeseburger. The beer was cold, pickles were bland. My cheeseburger arrived and I cut it in half and in doing so found a long black hair in the hamburger. I immediately called over the bar waitress and showed her. I asked her if she saw it and right away she said " oh yes I see it, I'll take it back and order you a new one". The 2nd one was ok. Lettuce was wilted and looked old but was just ok. We decided to go have lunch there again on Feb. 8th. We again sat at the bar. Ordered a bucket of beer and again it was nice and cold. I ordered Cheese bites and those were awesome!!! We ordered the double stacked nachos. I asked the cilantro be put on the side, and it was. It was old cilantro, very dry and just old looking. The nachos were awful. Just awful. We ordered the " chicken nachos and what little chicken that was on the nachos were cut in huge chunks. The guacamole was nasty too. Well now here's the worst part. The employee that fills up the ice and bottled beer for the gals that work the bar walked in front of us on the other side of the bar and coughed without covering his mouth. He then went back into the kitchen to get something else and walked behind us and coughed again and didn't cover his mouth. We told the gal working at the bar and she said she would tell her manager. You can see the employees in the kitchen and not 1 was wearing a hair net nor were they wearing gloves when working with food. I really like the cheese bites but not well enough to return. The gal that worked behind the bar said she hoped we liked our food. I told her I loved the cheese bites but the nachos were nasty and told her why I thought that way. She told us to come in around 5pm because the cooks in the evening were better at makingcthe dishes. I'm sorry but we will not...
Read moreWas here earlier for dinner. While the restaurant was wide open around that time, we were sat next to the only full table in our section, and these ladies were yelling and saying some pretty obscene things despite that they had two young children at the table. The server repeatedly asked us a question which none of us could hear over the wailing behind us. She left to put our drink orders in but took a bit to reappear. We were going to ask to be moved, but when our server didn't return, our friend went to the host stand only to return 5 minutes later, because it was empty, and he didn't even see anyone to flag down for help. We sat a while longer, but decided to move due to the noise and inconvenience. Our server returned with our drinks, but now seemed cold and unfriendly. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and was told that they were out of that and a numbe of other menu options, so I had to hurry and find another choice since I was only informed when we were all ordering our food. When I finished most of my first beer I asked for a second. About thirty minutes later she came back empty handed and said they were changing the keg and could she get me another beer. I said I'd cancel it, since we were nearly leaving. This was the nicer location I've seen, yet the service is not executed consistently or with the paying customers in mind. My friends tea sat empty for 15 minutes before our server filled it. Our original table had dry hot sauce in the center. And when two servers, neither of whom were our server, brought our food, they walked away empty handed even though we clearly finished our appetizers and those trays should have been picked up. I'm glad I ordered a tall beer with all that nonsense, since it's the only beer I got the two hours I was there. I still love Twin Peaks, but I will not return to this location, it was my first time at this store and...
