My husband and I came in for the lunch specials at Latin Flavor CafĂ© and we were so impressed! We had the chicken and oxtail with rice and peas — everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The rice was perfect, the oxtail was tender and rich, and the chicken was seasoned just right with sauce poured over the rice (so good, we couldn’t stop eating!). Alberto gave amazing service — super nice, patient, and helped me pick a drink (the mango soda was a great choice!). My husband got the cafĂ© con leche and for the first time ever, he didn’t need to add sugar — it was that good. 👍 We’ll definitely be back. Don’t miss this gem in Live Oak!

My wife and I stopped in here for a quick bite. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. We decided on trying the oxtail and rice with plantains. The oxtail was very soft and delicious with rendered fat which I like. The beans were good and the plantains were cooked well. If we're ever in the area again we'd like to stop by. Maybe for a meal, not just a little snack.

Absolutely awesome food. Got some croquettas, papa rellenas, rabo encindido, croquetta sandwich, and a Cuban sandwich. No one complained and we all finished the food. Very authentic and everything is def homemade. Will be visiting again.

My wife and I just ate at Latin Flavor CafĂ©. What a gem!!! I had the oxtail and rice with beans and plantains, and it was the absolute best Latin food and restaurant food in general that I think I’ve ever eaten. My wife had a pressed Philly steak, cheese, and caramelized onion sandwich, and it was phenomenal!

On our way out, we saw a cooler with desserts. We couldn’t resist and got one with flan baked on top of chocolate cake, I believe, and a guava cream cheese danish. They look amazing - can’t wait to try them!

If you haven’t been to the Latin Flavor Cafe in Live Oak, it is so, so worth it. The food was amazing, the owners/staff were welcoming, accommodating, and gracious, and the prices were great. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for an extremely pleasant surprise and a...

While they are extremely generous with their meat + cheese in the Cuban, which were flavorful- the sandwich was barely pressed and needed a more even amount of mustard and pickles. About 1/2 of the sandwich didn't quite taste like a cuban with it missing those components.

Empanadas seemed large, but the meat ones only had about 1/3 of the pastry having filling. Croquettes have good flavor, but were lukewarm and not at all crispy. Please crisp up your sandwiches and croquettes more to be authentic to Cuban flavors.

Guava con queso empanada was excellent.

Music was a little too loud, but fun. Very quick and...
