John's Char-Burger — Restaurant in Livermore

If you are looking for a place that treats you based off your looks and appearance well you found the perfect place!!! I went here recently for lunch and the blonde woman who takes orders seemed to treat me a bit rude, very blunt answers, seemed to treat me based off my appearance! I was in my work clothes but regardless of my appearance, I should be treated with the same respect as anyone else in the restaurant. The order took forever and to make matters even worse, there was a hair in my burger =( I dont know why she would treat me in such a way simply based off my appearance. Very disappointed. I hope the owner sees this so that he/she knows that people are treated based off their appearance. I was respectful and used manners but it didn't matter. I asked for ketchup and ranch and she cut me off saying that it was in the bag, she clearly wanted me gone asap! I almost forgot, at the very beginning of our interaction when we walked in she asked what we wanted. No menu just "what do you want " I am never coming back to this...

Update 03/03/2023 It had been a while so I ordered the 1/2 lbs. burger which is with two patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Wow, why did I wait so long:). It was delicious. fresh, hot and tasty. If you haven't tried this place and like burgers, do yourself a favor and try it, you will not be disappointed. By the way this burger was $8.75, CRAZY!

Absolutely one of the best cheeseburgers I have had to date and there has been a few all over the country. The patties were cooked to perfection with melted cheese all over. The produce used was fresh. The flavor was outrageously good. I will go back for sure and take family and friends.

07/29/2022 Update- Today it was even better than the last time. you taste the care they put into their food. Burger is well seasoned, the bun is fresh and the greens are fresh as can be with good quality dill pickles. I absolutely enjoyed my lunch very much. Did I mention the burger was only $7.80 including tax? There you go:)

Food was good! We come a couple times throughout the year! Visited today 4/17/24 I gave a 1 star because as we were paying for our meal the cook was on the grill and dropped the spatula on the floor.He picked it up and looked around to see if anyone saw him! He kept on flipping burgers with the spatula! That’s disgusting and I am very disappointed in the fact that he didn’t wash it! If he did it then,chances he has done it before! I told the young lady about the incident and she just apologized!That’s Nasty! And to think s folks will be eating those burgers! I WILL NOT BE BACK! GROSS AND NASTY! No...
