If you do not READ the Google Maps reviews for this in-Walmart Subway BEFORE you go here (like I did not....), well - that's your (AND MY...) fault. My experience may have been a little ( 1 star) better than most. 1st: I came to this Subway for a late lunch (1st time traveling in California) with intent to shop this Walmart after a week camping in the mountains. When I approached the order counter, no one was in view, but the only guy working was sitting in the side room, talking to family or friend on his Bluetooth earbuds / cellphone in very heavy Indian dialect. He finally saw me, came out still speaking to someone on the phone then asking me in barely audible, broken English. I had to ask him to repeat everything, and all the while he was continuing his conversation with this person on his phone (via earbuds: was what he just said talking to me or the phone person?). We finally got my order clarified - BBQ / Honey Mustard chicken protein bowl with extra meat and all fixings, medium drink - with him still talking on the phone nonstop, squeezing me in between his phone pauses.... 2nd: While making the customer a last priority after his non-stop phone conversation is sorely rude, it's also poor service and bad business. That said - he did slap together a copious protein bowl per my directions. 3rd: The floor had not been swept in a long while, and I could not find a clean table, so I photographed the "cleanest" table that I then wiped clean before I sat down (see photo). All in all, though this young far east Indian guy was rudely self-involved (but - guess that's typical these days....), on my way out I waited until I caught his attention while he was still sitting and continuing his same phone conversation in the side room, and I waved and said, "Thank you.". Food was good, atmosphere and cleanliness not so much, but figure this is the best you can expect at...

4/6/25Update: I stopped going to this Subway but then decided to give it a chance when a new employee was hired. However, it was a mistake again. The guy drenched sandwich in sauces. I attached pic.
The guy serving was really rude asking me “what do yo want?” He didn’t greet properly and just threw veggies on my sandwich. Also he was skimping on veggies- instead of 6 tomatoes and 6 cucumbers, he put only 4 each. I highly recommend no one come here and go elsewhere.
I wish I could negative star. The Indian lady isn’t much better. With an online order she didn’t put any cheese and barely any veggies and sauce. The owner of this Subway and the franchise clearly doesn’t care based on the reviews below. No change has been made in the staff or customer service. I started going to 969 E Stanley Blvd Subway. It’s so much cleaner and the staff is so attentive and cares about customers. It’s more expensive but worth every dollar because at the least we are consuming food with...
Read moreFirst off, almost every 5-star review for this Subway franchise is from Local Guides who are professional (possibly paid) reviewers. Regular people have given 1 star (since zero is not an option). Never going back to this place again! The indian lady at the counter isn’t just bad at her job, she is extremely rude and disrespectful and acts like people are asking her to make the subs free of charge. She doesn’t give straight answers, and basically made the worst subs for my kiddos with the veggies spilling out of the bread, there were barely any meat or veggies or sauce and the bread was old and flaky. She also doesn’t wear a mask or maintain any hygiene. The meat section is covered and you cannot see what the condition of the meat is. I’m surprised this franchise hasn’t been pulled up for health violations or hasn’t been shut down. Either ways, never wasting my...
