If you haven’t heard of @uncleyusatthevineyard take this as your sign to make a visit For years now @uncleyusatthevineyard has been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants!! This restaurant is family owned and has a gorgeous dining atmosphere. With the menu being absolutely incredible, featuring the widest selection of appetizers, entrees, drinks & more!! They even aspire to carry out most high quality ingredients, including sourcing produce organic, having all natural or organic meat products, and wild caught fresh seafood!! Each time I dine here the food is consistently delicious & loaded with flavor!! And I also love how they focus on crafting authentic & traditional recipes while presenting them in a modernized fashion!! I tried out a wide variety of dishes, including my usual orders!! And some new items as well!! And while everything was quite tasty, my favorites here included the mu shu chicken, lotus chicken & Kung pao chicken. Everything I Tried Sea Bass Puffs Kung Pao Chicken Lotus Chicken King Crab Fried Rice Kung Pao Chicken #bayareafoodie #foodshare #foodblogger #foodie #foodlover #foodstagram

We spent a few days with @visittrivalley last weekend. Here’s everything we ate, and think you should too 😋 @denicasrealfoodkitchen - The souffle pancakes! 🥞 @meadowlarkdairy - Delicious soft serve ice cream 🍦 @danvilleharvest - Fried chicken Sandwich 🍔 @oyopleasanton - We loved the paella! 🥘 @posadarestaurant - Their Carne Asada with stuffed poblano pepper hit the spot 🥩 @posadarestaurant - Churros - OMG! So good! @posadarestaurant - The Flan is perfect 🍮 @pleasantonfm - Lots of delicious local vendors! @uncleyusatthevineyard - Wild prawns with honeyed walnuts 🍤 NOTE: The reel says Pleasanton since most of the spots are there. But some of these places are in Danville and Livermore! Which of these restaurants have you tried already? 🤭

I have been meaning to write my review of Uncle Yu’s. I have been going to Uncle Yu’s for many years now. I started going to their location that used to be in San Ramon (Now Long gone for many years) Anyway, I have been to the Livermore many times and I’m surprised I haven’t written a review before now. Almost 5 Stars actually but I used to love their Chinese Chicken Salad but something has changed with their dressing. Not as sweet and savory but still good - not great anymore. Their other dishes are really good. We celebrated my birthday recently and had a really good meal with great service. This restaurant does get busy, so make a reservation We started with Chinese Chicken Salad (like I said earlier good not great any longer) Sweet & Sour Pork (Good Flavor & not too saucy), Yu Shang Eggplant (Fantastic Dish) General Tao’s Chicken (really good dish we thought) , and Singapore Noodles (Nice Flavor made with Curry but not overpowering). Nice meal!! Then they surprised me with a Birthday Treat (that was really unexpected) but a nice Sweet Treat to cleanse the palate and end our meal. I recommend going here if you are in the area.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I had sworn off Chinese food forever (mostly due to food allergies, poor reactions to ingredients), but my son LOVES Chinese food and it was his 18th Birthday - so we were doing Chinese. My hubby had heard great things about Uncle Yu's and after reading reviews for about 20 other restaurants, we chose Uncle Yu's. I was quietly apprehensive, thinking "we can't stay too late, I'll still need to fix my own dinner when we get home." No way was I going to take a chance on getting sick again, with discomfort and inflammation for the next few days. We got there, all of us excited to celebrate my youngest son's start of adulthood with his favorite food on the planet. I peeked at the menu, and thought "wow, great menu, wish I could have some." We sat down, and I started perusing the full menu. A few minutes later, my husband pipes up, "Hey, they have a gluten-free menu!" Ok, I'm thinking, I'll take a look (not wanting to get my hopes up). But I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few choices, including items normally NOT available GF: prawns w/honey walnuts, peking chicken, etc. Maybe I don't have to wait until I get home for dinner!! Still a bit apprehensive (because I've even gotten sick with menu items listed as GF at other restaurants), I placed my order: red cabbage salad, prawns w/honey walnuts, and garlic Singapore noodles (not on their menu - I asked them to modify the stir-fry garlic egg noodles to make them GF.)

All I can say is "Wow!" Every item was fantastic, delectable, delicious and praise-worthy! Of course, I had serious leftovers (which I took on the plane with me the next day for a business trip - making all the other passengers jealous). Best part, I felt great the next day --- NO inflammation, no bad reaction, all was well. Uncle Yu's, you have restored my love for Chinese food. If I had met the chef, I would have hugged him! When the family wants Chinese food from now on, I order to-go and it will ONLY be to Uncle Yu's! My family oooh'd and ahhh'd through the meal, so I'd say they were pleased as well. My son especially loved his meal (tailor-made orange chicken) and the delightful flourless chocolate torte they brought to say Happy Birhday.... again "Wow!"

The service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating to my food allergies. I know I can be difficult (though not intentionally), and they didn't bat an eyelash when I explained my situation.

Thank you for making my son's Birthday a wonderful family experience, and one we will repeat as often as we...

Beautiful restaurant, cold miserable service.

We were a party of 6, and two members arrived 7 minutes before the other 4, including a child. After sitting for over 10 minutes we asked for our server, because the whole staff was ignoring us. The restaurant only had a few tables sat and two people at the bar. It was not busy. Our server arrived and seemed absolutely miserable talking to us. He did not introduce himself, did not greet the other 4 new members of the party, did not ask if we wanted any beside water, and he did not offer or get a kids cup for the child at the table. Our server explained nothing about the restaurant or the style of dining it was. The order was not repeated to us nor did he ever get back to us on the one modification/ request we had. Our food took so long to arrive. Tables that sat down later than us received their food before ours. Our server never came to check on us after taking our order or explain the wait for our food. Several minutes after our food finally arrived the server finally came around to us. There was no “ how is everything tasting?” or “is there anything else I can get you guys?” instead we got a quick “everything good?” and then he dashed off. He never checked in with us again until he dropped off the bill. We are extremely low maintenance respectful big tipping customers, but everyone couldn't help but notice the obvious neglect of our table. It almost felt like our server/ bartender had a personal vendetta against serving us. He visited all of his other tables many times except us. The poor service was a huge downer for our family reunion and conversation. It was an extremely disheartening experience.

The food was good, but the dishes were not named when being set on the table. The bussers were a little air headed. They reached over to remove dishes off the table with out saying "excuse me" or...
