REVIEW NUMBER 2* Hi everybody! I decided to give Thomas's another go... and one more review... I gotta say I am truly impressed. Karen our waitress was amazing. Again... I had the polish plate. Delicious. This time I took home the Glaumpkis dinner for the next day. HUGE Galumpkis. I had to split it up for two dinners. I will add pics.... also... I heard through the grapevine that the Manager is single and she wanted me to take her pic to add to the review.... unfortunately did not meet her for the opportunity to aid her in the search for a good man. lol Again very high recommendation. They serve allot more than Polish foods...
Original Review* What a wonderful place. Growing up Polish I crave Pierogies, Galumpkis, Kielbasa and Sour Kraut.... I need it. (I think I have a problem.) If you are Polish or were part of a Polish family you completely understand the addiction. Holidays, a weekend get together, EVERY Polish wedding or Heck it may just be Tuesday and you need it. With that said.... FINALLY I found a way to temporarily feed my addiction. Thomas's! OMG Delicious. I live out near Lansing. So for me to drive out to Livonia you know its gotta be good. Gonna upload some pics. I'm definitely coming back for a second review and more pics. Maybe tonight. Hmmm.... the addiction has returned...ugh... Hey... a review would not be complete without talking about the staff. Mitch waited on me and he was great. Full of energy. Great personality. Kept up on all our dining needs. And... looks like my cousin Scott. Weird. Identical... well maybe a little shorter. hehe... great guy. Service...
This place is absolutely amazing!! I had an appointment next door and I was 30 mins early so I went next door to eat. From the moment I walked in it was great. Smelled good, temperature was perfect, people happy and chatting but still relaxing and quiet. Definitely reminded me of back home in Georgia. The host Kat was so pleasant. I explained to her my circumstances and she reassured me I had time to sit down and eat in that time if I wanted rather then placing a to go order. I agreed and I even asked her if my order was gonna be easy or should I order something else. She once again reassured me it’d be done with plenty of time and brought me coffee. My waitress Mackenzie came over very happy and pleasant with a smile and friendly hello, even though she knew I was in a hurry. She promptly took my order and brought me water too. I had my food in 10 mins and it was hot fresh and flavored not undercooked or rushed looking at all. I was able to get my bill, an to go box in a timely manner and Mackenzie even brought me a to go coffee since I didn’t get to finish mine. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to return when I have the time to actually sit down and enjoy it. They also had individual hand sanitizer spray at each table very convenient and sanitary. The whole staffed seemed so polite and pleasant but most of all Kat and Mackenzie personally made me feel comfortable about having to hurry and not having cash to tip with and having to tip on card like I’ve had at other places. I’m definitely going every time I have a PT appointment now. Thank you so much ladies. Stay blessed and keep being the amazing women you are....
Read moreWasn't thrilled at all. Didn't get kids menus with two kids.
While sitting in a booth, I observed an elderly (85+) man walking in with a cane. I got up, walked passed who I believed was the male manager to assist this elderly gentleman with the door only to be met by another customer already there to help. Shout out to him! None of the staff made an effort to even get the door for this gentleman who appeared to be old enough to be a WWII veteran. Not to mention the elderly female he was with had a cane.
One of the guests in our party is an elderly female who wears oxygen. Neither our party, or the other two elderly people were offered the closest booth to the door which was available. Have the old people walk to the fourth or fifth booth???
Reuben with chips French onion soup Grilled cheese with fries - kids Pizza - kids
The Reuben was just ok, the chips were fantastic, they seemed to actually be homemade. If they weren't homemade I need to know the brand because they were delicious.
The soup was bland, nothing more to say.
The grilled cheese, nothing special plain and greasy.
The kids pizza, flat out nasty. Yes I know it's not an Italian restaurant, but if it's on the menu for kids at least make it edible. This was not.
I hadn't been there in a few years, was close and loved it in the past. This time I was very disappointed and pretty sure I...
