Garcia's used to be good, they have gone down hill badly. This used to be me and my husband's go to place to eat for YEARS. I have not been back since the beginning of the pandemic (3 times in a row they were bad, tonight I decided to give them a try again.... still terrible. Will not be earing here ever again.) Ordered the quesadillas and specifically asked for them to put NO JALAPENOS, I told the girl taking my to-go order that I am HIGHLY allergic. Guess what I found in my quesadillas when I got home? You guessed it! Jalapenos!! I discovered this after I took a bite and thank goodness saved myself. (And in case your wondering.... did not taste like they used to. Could have seriously just made them at home) I ordered my husbands favorite. The chalupa plate. What I got in the box was NOT chalupa. It is a flat crunchy/hard tortilla with toppings. The taste was okay. Also ordered some sour cream CHEESE enchiladas. What did I get? Flavorless boiled CHICKEN sour cream enchiladas. I could barely even swallow with how dry and flavorless it was. Also ordered the sopapillas.... I've had may sopapillas and this was a flat peice of bread with cinnamon and powdered sugar sprinkled on top.

Super frustrating..... and disappointing. I learned my lesson.... AGAIN. Will be going g to Mr. Taco or...

4 start service with 1 star food. At least what I ordered was just terrible. The Chile Relleno was terrible. Poblano pepper treated like spinach, soaking in a watery mess and soggy breading. Obviously, it wasn't fresh and had been frozen then reheated definitely using a microwave. Sadly, I could've just bought a better tasting frozen Relleno at half the price at Walmart. The beans, over watered. The rice was on point though and they've got good salsa for the chips. The waitress and wait staff were awesome. I do understand they're understaffed so maybe that's the reason for the poor quality of the food but I'd rather wait longer for a decent meal than a fast microwaved premade meal that left a bad taste in my mouth. I ended up emptying the pepper and shoving the breading mush to the side and just making chicken, cheese, beans, and rice topped with their salsa to salvage any idea of a good meal. But the wait staff was great especially for how busy they were. Oh, and it of steak, my review probably would be very different if I got those steak and eggs...

I had high hopes when ordering the menudo, but unfortunately, it did not meet even the most basic expectations. The broth was unusually pale and lacked the rich, reddish hue typically associated with a well-made menudo. Visually, it was unappealing — and the taste reflected the same.

There was little to no flavor; the seasoning was minimal to nonexistent, and the dish as a whole felt unfinished. The tripe was tender, which I appreciated, but without any depth of flavor in the broth, it didn’t come together as it should. Menudo is a dish that should be comforting, bold, and satisfying — this was none of those things.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe honest feedback helps maintain quality. I hope improvements are made, because the potential is there, but this version missed the...
