We were the only customers inside the restaurant at 8 pm on a Friday night. It was borderline spooky. The food was great. I had the bacon guacamole burger and it was really good. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers and overall it was everything you could want in grabbing a late bite at a fast food place. The food was great, service was kind and also fast and no one got hurt.
My only complaint, and this happens at every Carl's Jr I've ever been to. Up by the cash registers they always have these pictures of the menu items and there are usually ones posted promoting the toys that come with the kids meals. Like there were pictures of this kid in a suit on a jet playing on a Playstation 8 and meanwhile the kids are digging thru this paper bag to find a puzzle that has 4 pieces. It's bad enough that us adults are drooling over a picture of a burger that will never look like the burger we are about to eat but man..... They are just kids.
Anyway, my favorite part about eating at Carl's is the burgers are a huge and total sloppy mess. Like I know Im not just eating a burger but I'm probably wearing a third if it by the time I leave. And I don't feel bad about looking like I ate my sandwich 'no hands' because it just tastes that good. It's an experience that always has my chick asking me if she has condiments all over her face every time we go there. It is definitely NOT a passive dining experience and that just makes it that much more fun and delicious.
update 1/3/2025 update stopped after work to pick up dinner. Had the double burger with jalapenos, fries and whatever cola is served there. The service was better than it usually is. The cashier was quick with it and really polite in a very real way. He asked me to pull around out front and I'm always good with that because it means the food is going to be fresh and hot. The food here never...
Read moreNormally I like Carl's Jr. Today I got a push notification saying I could get a free small shake with purchase using the promo code RIPBEN.
I tried using it and the app kept trying to charge full price. My first several attempts I was trying to buy fried zucchini (over $1) with it. Later I switched to a chocolate chip cookie (under $1). I could never get the order to go through as the app kept trying to charge for the 🆓 shake. After trying the code once, whenever I entered the code it said the code was already redeemed. However, there was an offer to use but it never worked.
After about 10 minutes or so of trying I decided to go in and ask for help. The lady trying to help me also tried several times. A pop-up would say the offer was applied to my cart. And then immediately say it was removed because it was already used.
Neither of us were ever able to figure it out, despite the worker's multiple attempts. She didn't have a code she could enter to honor it so I left with nothing.
I am giving her 5 stars for her service because she was really trying to solve it.
Even more disappointing this is only good this weekend. The drive to Carl's from my home is about 10 miles each way. I was coming from work an wont be back that way until I work again next week. So I am basically screwed out of using the of using the offer.
Carl's you need to make sure your app is up to par and in the event it isn't have an alternative way for employees to honor the offers given to them. So app gets 0 stars because it didn't work. Food is also 0 stars because I didn't get any.
Overall 3 stars and only because you have an...
Read moreI have been to this particular location a number of times and I must say, it's a bit hit or miss. First thing I always notice upon entering the building is they always have the a.c. cranked way up (building stays very cool) . I don't have a problem with this myself, but it makes for an unpleasant experience for my wife, which by extension creates unpleasantness for me. The atmosphere created by the colors, style, and music, in general, is nice. The music is a little on the loud side, distracting from thought and conversation. The cleanliness of the restaurant is mediocre. As for the food, when they brought my food out, I opened up my burger to find large portions of the lettuce were far from fresh, the tomatoes and onions were stacked right on top of one another rather than being neatly spaced, and there was more sauce falling out of one side of the burger then there was in the rest of the burger. After removing the bad lettuce, adjusting toppings, and wiping excess juices from the burger it was actually quite good, and would have had potential to be excellent if not for the fact that I had to fix the burger beforehand. All in all, I enjoy Carl's Jr. from time to time, but I make a point not to...
