I wish there was an option for zero stars. Stopped in today around 3pm to get some lunch. When I walked I the place was pretty empty (only 2-3 tables being served). A family in front of me placed a to-go order and the host said their order would be around 15-20 minutes. I asked the host if that’s how long the wait would be and he replied “No, just that specific order.” The host began to assist me. He asked, “Is it just you today?” I replied “yes”. He then asked “What can I get for you?” I proceeded to place an order of 20 wings. I went and took a seat to wait for the food. When the food came out 15 minutes later, it was packaged as a to-go order. I thought to myself, “That’s weird, there must’ve been some confusion” as I had intentions of dining in. I figured I could just eat at the table I was already seated at. There were no problems, until I asked the guy who took my order if I could get some carrots. I’ve only eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings a few times and thought it was customary to have carrots and celery with the order. I didn’t realize this was something you had to request, but when I asked the guy he said, “I can’t bring you carrots and you’re not allowed to eat a to-go order in our dining area. You need to leave.” I asked, “why can’t you just have a server come assist me then?” He replied, “ we don’t have any servers right now.” I called out his lie and pointed at the two other tables actively being served. I never intended for my order to be a to-go. He walked away frustrated and I continued to eat my food. 5-10 minutes later, the manager walk out and says, “ Sir you have two options. You can get out, or you can place another order to be served in our establishment.” I tried to explain that I had intended to be served when I placed my order and that I had already placed an order for 20 wings. I wasn’t going to order more. I said “send me a server”. The server came out and I requested the carrots that the other two guys couldn’t fulfill. I was pretty upset at this point and couldn’t understand their logic at all. Finally the lady brought me some carrots. I finished up my food and left, leaving behind my mess for them to cleanup (just like bussing a dine in table).
I understand there was confusion whether I was a dine in or take out order, but this does not excuse the way I was treated. Anyone I know can attest that I’m a chill guy and not easily bothered. However, It was incredibly frustrating as a customer to not be able to explain my side of the story to any level of management. Please help me...
Read moreThe whole evening can be summed up with one word; yikes. We know it’s a Saturday night and we had a large group (11) so we gave them a multi hour notice that we would be showing up with a large party at 6 PM this evening. We showed up a little bit early and were seated by six. In a half empty dining room they couldn’t even give us tables that allowed us to all sit together. And it wasn’t because there wasn’t tables available. They just didn’t seem capable of utilizing their own floor plan. They also were incapable of bringing out all of our food at the same time. Example being there were 3 of the 11 of us that didn’t get their food until 30 minutes after everyone else was served. The staff didn’t let us know that there was any problems with the food or that the kitchen was behind in anyway when they were dropping off food or drinks. We had to flag them down to let them know they hadn’t finished serving everyone. By the time I tracked down a manager we needed to have the food put in to go boxes because we were all getting ready to leave. We asked for a discount on the food and by the time they brought it to us they still didn’t have all the order inside of the bag. These weren’t complicated orders either. It’s not like there was any special food requirements. It was literally three orders of six wings. The manager says “sorry our kitchens just behind.” That felt very inauthentic. It couldn’t have been the case because if it was, we would’ve been notified significantly sooner, it absolutely seemed as though they had forgotten to place the orders. Then, by the time we are checking out, they didn’t get the orders on the receipts correctly. We had to send them back again. This on top of the fact that we actually were served by more of the other waiters and waitresses on the floor than the one that was specifically assigned to our table. Getting drinks refilled or silverware all had to be taken care of by other people. They were nice enough but clearly disorganized, inefficient, and poorly timed. Terrible client experience. Definitely not worth a...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite place in town. As in “the waiters and waitresses all knew us by name and could tell us our food and drink orders by heart as soon as we walked in the door” favorite. In the last couple of years, it has gone so badly downhill. And that was pre -covid. Now it’s rock bottom. And let me tell you, having worked in multiple restaurants over the year, I am insanely forgiving when it comes to bad service. But so far this year, I have been completely forgotten about more than once, my order has been wrong almost every time. I’ve been told that they don’t have a certain beer, just to hear the guy at the table next to me order the same beer 3 minutes later and he got it. The last time I was there, I waited 30 minutes for someone to bring me a menu and take my drink order, and then I finally left. We tried to go tonight, after horrible experiences the last two times, to give it one last shot. I checked in online, VIA THE OFFICIAL BUFFALO WILD WINGS WEBSITE. Got there, to be told “oh, we don’t use the online check in.” Okay, well it said you do on your website, but sure let’s get on the list again. “Okay well we’re on a wait right now.” can you tell me how long I’m looking at? “No, i can’t.” Seriously, you can’t even give me a ballpark estimate of how long I’m looking to Wait? It doesn't have to be a "37 minutes and 23 seconds" exact. I'd Just like to know if I'm looking at 15 minutes or an hour plus. "nope, sorry." (All of this with quite the attitude.) Okay then, never mind. We left, went to old Chicago, and were seated within ten minutes. I overheard another group of people waiting to be sat say something about her attitude with me, say "forget it," and they walked out right after us. I understand that things get hectic on game nights, and it's hard to tell exactly how long people will be there. But to refuse to give me even a rough estimate, especially when we have little ones with us, seems ridiculous. I think we’re done giving them second chances. Three...
