Tandoori Oven - A Delightful Indian Food Experience in Logan, Utah

If you find yourself in Logan, Utah, and have a craving for authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than Tandoori Oven. This hidden gem of a restaurant offers a delightful experience that will leave you craving for more. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the friendly and knowledgeable staff make you feel right at home.

One of the standout dishes at Tandoori Oven is the "Lamb Coconut Kurma."" The tender lamb cooked in a rich coconut-based sauce is an absolute delight for the taste buds. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the spices used in the dish create a harmonious symphony of taste. It's a must-try for anyone who appreciates the bold flavors of Indian cuisine.

But that's not all Tandoori Oven has to offer. The restaurant boasts a delicious variety of Naan breads that will satisfy your cravings for the perfect accompaniment to your meal. From traditional plain Naan to flavors like garlic, cheese, and even stuffed Naan, you'll find yourself spoilt for choice. The breads are freshly baked, soft, and bursting with flavor. They complement the main dishes exceptionally well and are a true highlight of the dining experience.

Aside from the fantastic food, one aspect that sets Tandoori Oven apart is its staff. The team is not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than happy to guide you through the different dishes and offer recommendations based on your preferences. Their passion for cuisine shines through, and it adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience.

The only downside of Tandoori Oven is that it's located in Logan, Utah. As someone who doesn't live nearby, I find myself longing to live closer so that I can visit this restaurant more often. It's the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression, making you count down the days until your next visit. So, if you're lucky enough to be in Logan or planning a trip there, make sure to carve out some time to experience Tandoori Oven.

However, I must confess that I have a bit of a selfish desire to keep this place a hidden gem. It's so good that I don't want it to become too popular and risk not being able to get a table when I'm in town. But, alas, good things are meant to be shared, and I can't help but recommend it to anyone visiting Logan, Utah. Just promise me that you'll keep it our little secret, and I hope you enjoy your dining experience at Tandoori Oven as...

I took my wife here for Valentine's day, hoping for a nice, relaxing dinner. We had such high hopes because of the good reviews here and other places. When we got there, we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. After 10 minutes of waiting, all the people in front of us had been seated, and there were a couple open tables ready, but it took another 25 minutes for them to seat us at a table that had been open for almost the whole time. While waiting, we took the opportunity to look over the menu and decided on a few entrees that looked good. When we were seated, the waiter brought us a special menu, that only had a Valentine's special, with drinks, bread, and dessert included with the dinner. The package price was 75% more than the normal menu price for the entrees offered, and we didn't want the extra food, but when we asked, we were told that the special was the only option for the evening. We decided that the extra cost was far more than we could justify paying for what we actually wanted, so we left without getting anything. Everything looked and smelled very good, but it was very disappointing to come and have a such a bad experience when everybody else seems to love it.

(Update) We went back for lunch a few weeks later to give them a second chance. The buffet was fairly priced, and the food was good. We really liked the curried chicken. It was definitely worth...

We went here for dinner. It was a little weird having to park across the street at the bank and also the weird gas station vibe. The inside was much better. I loved their menu. There are so many options! The menu was very well labeled for dairy, gluten, nuts, vegan. And a huge section devoted to vegetarian...thank you!!! The mango Lassi had devious chunks of mangoes. We really enjoyed it. The one thing that was not good at all was the appetizer assorted platter (none of the starters on that platter tasted great). The only good part of that platter was the tamarind and mint chutnies...which were awesome! For a starter next time, I am going to order from the Indo Chinese Starter section (the veg Manchurian sounds good) or try a green salad. Hubby ordered lamb Tikka masala. It was good. I ordered the Malai Kofka, and its base was incredible. The veggie dumplings were good but a bit salty. We also tried the Tandoori Special Basket with a side of raita. I really loved the sweet stuffed naan. The Garlic Naan was so-so. The plain Naan was good. I think I'll try the Aloo or Onion one next time. While the Naan was good, it was dry, and the cooks could improve upon it. Despite the minor things we didn't like, it was overall delicious, and we would love to return. We took our leftovers on our travels and ate them cold. Even cold, it was good. Well done, Tandoori!!!

My recent visit to Tandoori Oven in Logan turned out to be quite the pleasant surprise. As someone living in Utah County, I've heard good things about this spot, so when passing through Logan, we decided to give it a shot. And I'm glad we did! We were seated almost immediately, even though the place was pretty busy. With our prior experience with Indian cuisine, my group and I knew exactly what we wanted: veg coconut korma, aloo gobi, and butter chicken. The food came out quickly, and the prices were fair. We decided to mix things up with mild, medium, and hot spice levels, and each dish had its own delicious flavor profile. The "hot" option had a nice kick without being overwhelming. Our server was friendly, but it was a bit surprising to see only white staff members. I guess Logan might not have a large Indian or Pakistani population. The atmosphere was decent—nothing too special, but it provided a comfortable setting for our meal. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Tandoori Oven to others, and I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm ever back in the area.
