Oriental Garden — Restaurant in Loganville

I've been going to this establishment for years and years, I always tip very generously and I always basically order the same thing: General Tso's Lunch Special and I ALWAYS substitute the egg roll for a spring roll. That all changed today however.

I did the usual routine and called the store to place my to go order, but upon asking the lady that answered the phone to substitute my egg roll for the spring roll (again,as I ALWAYS HAVE FOR YEARS AND YEARS) I was met with her refusing to do so. Even when I stated I've been a loyal customer she still would not budge or explain to me why I suddenly couldn't.

As saddening as it was to do so I then let her know that I would no longer be giving them my business. I know, it may seem ridiculous over something like an egg roll substitution, but the inability to help a loyal customer understand why they would or could no longer do it showed me that they apparently didn't value my loyalty anyway.

I'll miss this establishment, but recently I've seen new faces which in the restaurant world usually means new management and that is always a hit or miss (in this case a miss).

Very delicious food and very nice people ! My family and I were craving Chinese food for Sunday’s dinner and I googled this place and I’m so glad I found it ! We got general chicken tso, sweet and sour chicken and chicken broccoli. I made a mistake and didn’t confirm if the chicken broccoli was made with brown sugar . I got home and noticed the chicken broccoli wasn’t what I thought it would be. I was going to just make myself a sandwich but figured I’d call the restaurant back and ask for something different. The owner was very nice and offered to make me something else at no additional cost. I like to support local businesses and wanted to pay something but he declined. I got more sweet and sour chicken and was able to enjoy my dinner. Kindness and understanding goes a lot way in todays world. Im very happy that I found Oriental Garden. I can’t wait to go back !! I placed an order for about $40 worth of food and charged it to my credit card. 10 Minutes later they called me back and informed me they were out of Shrimp Spring Rolls and wanted to substitute them for regular spring rolls. I was not at all upset and I asked him to just take them off my bill. The gentleman informed me that he could not refund my money for me. Well, I have been a restaurant manager in Dunwoody for 7 years and I know that this is just not true. My food was delivered 45 minutes after I was told it was going to arrive and I had no napkins, chopsticks, or wonton noodles for my soup.
