Holy Buckets Halal Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in Lombard

The restaurant was not busy when we went, 1 other group was waiting for their meal and another was finishing. 15 min after we came 2 different groups of 2 came in. We had ordered the 3 piece chicken meal and a smash burger which came with a free chicken sandwich (we got a Nashville chicken burger). Really simple order but it took more than 40 minutes. Went up once to ask how long it would take and were told it wouldn't take long. Then we saw the person who took our order take a tray to 2 people who came 15-20 minutes after us. After he delivered the tray we asked why it was taking so long for our meal. Then man checked our order and told us that he'd given our order to the men. He then walked up to them, took the tray (I assume he explained his mistake) and then brought it to us. I was shocked and horrified. I felt horrible for the men and upset that the person who took our order, instead of calling our receipt number or name, delivered the meal without checking who it was for. Thankfully the food was good. The fried chicken crunchy, juicy, and somewhat spicy. Some pieces of chicken were spicy and others weren't, which was confusing. Why didn't they season all the pieces of chicken the same. The fries were good and the honey biscuit delicious. The burgers were good too. I recently had a very disappointing experience at this location. Unlike their Bridgeview branch, where I've always received excellent service and good food, this visit was far from pleasant.

I mistakenly placed an online order for the Bridgeview location, thinking it was for Lombard. After calling Bridgeview, I was assured that my order would be transferred to the Lombard location and that I could pick it up there. However, when I arrived at Lombard, I was told the order wasn't paid for and that I needed to pay again. As I tried to explain the situation, the person behind the counter was incredibly rude, cutting me off and demanding I show a receipt. After presenting the receipt, they finally handed me my order, but with a bad attitude throughout the entire exchange.

To make matters worse, when I got home, I discovered the water bottle I paid for was missing.

Due to the poor service and unprofessional attitude, I won't be returning to this location. I'll stick to the Bridgeview one from now on, where the service is far better. I hope management addresses these issues, as this level of service will surely drive customers away...

I had an amazing experience at Holy Buckets in Lombard! First off, Yousef and Rayyan were exceptionally helpful and made the whole experience even better. I initially ordered the Hot Nashville Chicken Sandwich, thinking I could handle the heat, but wow, I was not prepared for how extremely hot it was! I even ordered the medium, and it was still very hot, so be warned if you're not into spicy food. I asked Rayyan to change it and make it a Zinger Burger and without hesitation he was able take back the eaten sandwich and started prepping to make me a new sandwich.

I also ordered the Holy Bucket, and let me tell you, it’s definitely worth every bang for its buck. It comes loaded with macaroni and cheese, fries, chicken, and a variety of delicious sauces. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. It's definitely a meal worth sharing, but I saved half for lunch the next day—even though I could probably have finished it in one sitting.
