This place is wonderful for novice fishermen as it's small enough area & pond to not get overwhelmed. The fish bite pretty quickly. The gazebo is so relaxing to hang out in and offers protection from the rain or burning sun. There's a small park for younger children close by.
My main dislike is the way visitors dispose of their fishing line & hooks. If you have pets, don't bring them at all. I ended up biting my teeth and just ripping the hook from my finger so that it came off & save my poor dog the pain of being accidentally tugged. Rushed her to vet to get the hook out of her mouth. It was a horrifying experience. Keep pets away from here 100% & you should be able to enjoy it. If you see any fishing line, please dispose regardless if it isn't yours, it will save another...

The playground is great, and the paved path around the pond is great for burning some energy before...
