One reason that one should patronize a business is that you should go to a place that respects you spending your hard earned money with them. I always say look at the latest reviews however even though I was here years ago according to others this hasn't changed and still has the worst service and food, I've ever had but maybe did not know about Yelp then, and today when I wrote a very positive review of Brio who at first got a negative review but reached out to me to be sure that they could satisfy me, I used them as a good example of customer service and for a bad example, it is this place. At the time I had a waitress as rude and surly (glad that at least changed from other reviews) as the owner which many mentioned here, so as many have said do NOT go here for that alone and their mediocre food.
When I went they had an item of ham on bone. I specifically asked if it was like a dog bone with bits of meat on it like you would put in a soup or if it was like a slice of ham with a bit of bone in the middle, she seemed to understand it and said it was the former but it was the latter, I did not make a scene or demand they give me something else but I did point that out to her, and later when I said the ham was kind of salty, she disdainfully said that I should know what ham is like and said something to the owner who gave me a dirty look. If you want to go to a divey looking diner with service (from the owner at least) as bad as their food go here, but hopefully you don't and if so, avoid this place like the plague. I am glad that I can warn people on Yelp now as AAA did a review of this place in their magazine and wanted to write them to warn people to stay away but it's a rather Pollyannish type of magazine so felt that since it would take time to write and not get printed it...
Read moreThe first time I came for breakfast on the weekend it was pretty good and service was great. I came for lunch during the week and the food absolutely horrible although the service was still good. The hamburger special supposed to be a 1/3 lb and the meat wasn't even a 1/4 lb and was oblong and much smaller than the bun and cooked til it was dry. The salad was wilted and looked like it was sitting in a pool of water before put on my plate. I don't know how a place would have the audacity to serve a salad that bad. I also ordered chili cheese fries and the fries were dense and stale tasting as if they fried some freezer burned fries. I don't think I'll be coming back here. I wanted to give it a chance but I now understand why the place looks empty and lonely all the time. Reminding me of an episode of...
Read moreI live a block over and have passed this place a million times in the past 5 years I've lived in this area, Election day 2020 decided to reward myself with a steak for breakfast and wanted to contribute to something local so I finally decided to check this place out and im glad I did. This place is old school but thats the charm in it. They have seating aside to abide by new Covid Protocols. I ordered the Ribeye steak with Sunnyside eggs and house fries. The steak was cooked perfect and the breakfast was just perfect and the exact type of filling meal I wanted. On top of that the older gentleman working as server was great and very attentive and kept checking on me which I really appreciated. If youre looking for a diner spot with good steaks for breakfast definitely check...
