Old Town Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Lompoc

They were one of the few places open for dinner on Labor Day. We came from out of town to visit family, but we have lived in the area years back. When we called the staff that answered the phone was wonderful (sounded like the same waitress we had Adrianah). It’s a rather smaller quiet place. Since we did have kids we asked to sit outside. We had 10 people so we asked to push the tables together. Adrianah (I’m horrible with names but I hope I spelled this right) was wonderful an helped us push them together. However another staff member (glasses an behind the bar most the time). Came out an told her we needed to sit on the other side cause the side we picked was for larger parties. Please note that their outside seating had two tables with four chairs each on one side. An three tables with four chairs each on the other. We were are party of 10. Meaning the smaller side wouldn’t work, but we picked the larger side cause it wasn’t in the sun. This staff member threw a min fit about us moving. To which we replied we would just split up into more parties then. Other then a awkward start to dinner. Which by the way only a few more patrons showed up (no large parties for outside seating)

The menu is perfect. The food was of great proportions for the price. Kids menu was wonderful to include fries!!!!

Please note they have one bathroom. I did let a staff member know there was no soap, but it hadn’t been fixed after 20+ mins of being there.

I will definitely come back as their menu had so many yummy things I would love to try. The salad was also splendid but they could really offer up a few more croutons then the 6 it came with lol. Maybe even some fresh baked bread. But def give this place a shot! Great date night location...

Came in for dinner and drinks with a friend. This is a great new place. So nice and clean. Place is on the smaller side, holds about 66 people. Walk in to the bar area then turn left to seating area. As you walk to the restroom, the back areas are clean as well. Floors do not have any dirty items on them. Restroom wss clean as well and had a plug in so smelled fruity. The drinks are great and the food is spectacular! We ordered the mac and cheese with added bacon and chicken with the basil cream sauce. It was light and did not sit heavy on my tummy so I was able to eat a few bites. The noodles were just a bit al dente and again, the sauce was light and creamy! We also ordered the basket of garlic parmesan fries. Crispy and light! I then ordered the steak bites which comes with a side salad. Salad was very fresh and crisp! I know it’s a small town and everything but walking in at 720pm when they close at 8 I was a little surprised they were out of things as simple as potatoes, broccolini to the beer I ordered. Anyways that was all fine and I ordered a NY strip med-rare with other veggies, but then they were also out of the soup. Okay no worries I got a salad instead. Still all good but then my food comes out and the steak was definitely more medium, not a big deal but it was very dry even though it was medium. Almost as if it was either 1. Defrosted, or 2. A few days old. Now being in Lompoc, with cows alllll around you’d think at least a fresh steak would be easy, at least when paying $42 for it.
