Krystal — Restaurant in London

I live up North and always hear that Krystal is the Southern version of White Castle. Yesterday I finally had the opportunity to stop and see what Krystal was all about. I ordered some chicken sandwiches and fries, my family ordered regular burgers and fries. The cashier was friendly and accommodating, but the food and atmosphere was something else of the opposite nature! The restaurant itself was small and rather run down. I can work with that though if the food and service make up for it. Again, cashier was great- the food was definitely not. My husband had to exchange my sandwich buns for new ones because the ones they gave us were sopping wet! The chicken itself had a weird flaky consistency, almost like what you’d find with fish. None of the flavors were good. I forced myself to finish one sandwich and threw the other away. We had left over regular burgers and I didn’t want to waste them, so we took them out to our dogs. Not even the dogs would eat them! The food here is so disgusting, it makes me borderline angry. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and they should never even be mentioned in the same universe as White Castle. I have always loved there chili cheese fries but not as much since they changed there fries I don't like them as much as I used too...not a big fan of the seasoned fries I don't even buy them at the grocery store....I love the skinny fries they had if it ain't broke don't fix it....don't understand why they changed them...the chili cheese fries are still perty good but befor they where awesome mcdonalds fries are skinny fries they don't change them....not a big fan of McDonald's but there's a reason they keep there fries like they are cause people love them...krystals should have left them the way they where or at least give us a choice seasoned or original and when I say original I mean the way the where befor the change...my whole family was so disappointed when they changed the fries I know others who are also....there still good but not awesome like befor...like I said if they are keeping the seasoned fries at least give us a choice seasoned or orignal...now that...

Went through the drive thru and got my usual and as always I pull to the window and I'm greeted by a friendly neighborhood Krystal worker who with the swiftness of a ninja preps and bags my food and gets it out the window to me so fast I become confused and disoriented and temporarily forget who and where I am. Lucky for me the alluring aroma of my bag of Krystal's hits my nostrils and snaps me right back to reality and I quickly realize my only mission at that very moment is to find a safe spot to consume my bag of heavenly delights.
