This place is amazing, been coming here for years now. It’s not much to look at, but that’s the beauty in it. It’s a mom n pops fish market style, grill. Can’t really call it a restaurant since all the seating is outside of the actual place.
They have a shaded section with many long tables for big parties or just for leisurely sitting down for a bite. Most of the time when it’s busy, you’ll have to share the table, which I don’t mind, cause if anything it’s another way to encourage being social and having a chat with a fellow diner.
They serve alcohol as well, for those that want a nice weekend drink and grub or maybe this is the start of your night on the town, I do enjoy coming here for that combo myself. Now down to the real treat, the seafood! I can’t stress enough how fresh and good it is here, not to mention how well cooked it is every time. My personal favorite is the swordfish & bbq shrimp combo, served with fries, tartar sauce and a small side of coleslaw. Guaranteed to fill you up and wanting to come back for more, I usually will get a side of clam chowder or campechana or both… ok… usually for me and my fiancé lol not just myself. That’s a lot of food.
Anyways, I can’t think of one time I’ve ever received a bad order or bad service. I have nothing but good remarks for this place and I hope your visit goes well, this is by far one of my favorite dive seafood...
Read moreThis place is known for its live crab. People drive from everywhere to get it. The family next to us drove 2 hours to get there. I would suggest calling first to make sure they have crab if that's what you went for because they go fast. The clam chowder is the best I've ever had. It's right near the water so that's really neat. It's all outdoor picnic bench type seating under a covered patio. Expect to pay quite a bit for the fresh seafood. My husband's lobster and shrimp plate was $50. My fish taco was $2 or $3 and the clam chowder was $6. The burger and fries plate was around $13. They have various fried fish and shrimp ect. plates for around $13 and the seafood is market price so you have a big range of prices here. Basically you could be extravagant or eat on a budget. The fried plates are very reasonable. They have beer and wine and some other things like white claw. The wait wasn't too bad at all and it was extremely busy when we went on Sunday. They have plenty of seating. It is on the water but it's not an omg type view but the ambiance is still really nice. We had a...
Read moreMy 1 star review is due to my one and only experience at this restaurant as a group visitor.
Short review: great supporting staff, great tasting food, great atmosphere. The bad is from missing menu items and a missing order, but it was refunded.
Long review: As we arrived, security greeted us and offered candy to the children. He was very friendly. The ordering process began with us declaring that we would like to place a group order that totaled nearly $350. Food came out but seemed to be light for the pounds we ordered as a group that may have been buffered by vegetables included. We also ordered scallops that were never included and, as a group, didn't notice until it was too late. We also ordered another menu item that wasn't given until an hour later (they refunded but it was just a bummer that it was left to the side and not given until requested numerous times throughout the hour). My advisory is that if you come as a group, do your best to order menu items as combos as opposed to a group tray as several items may just be overlooked and forgotten unless you stay...
