I've been wanting to try the Plant Butchers and I went on a Monday afternoon for lunch. I had the Reuben sandwich, a drink and a blueberry muffin to go. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. I had it toasted which was so great because it brought out the flavor of the caraway seeds in the marbled rye bread (so yummy!). I also added avocado. This place shares an outdoor/retail space with Sugar Taco so I sat in the shared patio area which is dog-friendly according to their website. Plant Butchers also sells eco-friendly items and vegan products in-store. They also sell their vegan deli meat and vegan cheese made in-house. Overall, I would definitely visit this place and I definitely recommend it.
**Note: This is a cashless place. Breakfast items served all day.
**Parking: Parking entrance is on Magnolia Ave. The Plant Butchers and Sugar Taco share allotted parking spaces in the Magnolia Luxury Apartments parking structure (to the left and one spot to the right). So very very convenient as when you walk out the restaurant entrance is immediately to the left when you exit...
Read moreFINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this place to open for that feels like forever. I went in for lunch, I parked on the street for free but apparently they also have a lot in the building. I had the reuben and my partner had the tuna melt, both were delicious. We also tried the fried chicken which was INSANE and what I will be ordering weekly. The chocolate chip cookie and brownies were also so good. I wish they had fresh coffee but they did say they may add it and they had bottled coffee drinks. They seem to be a mostly take out spot but they did have two tables out front. We ended up sitting on the Sugar Taco patio because my partner ordered there as well. We bought the bacon and have used it for breakfast twice, will order it again! We didn’t get a chance to try the cheeses yet but we will be back! I’d like to see a few more cheese options but so far we love this addition to the...
Read moreI wanted so bad to love this place!!BUT the food is underwhelming. With such a short menu, you expect each item to be excellent. Well, that’s not the case… We ordered a Reuben and a Caprese, they both lacked taste and consistency. Almost no filling and it feels like both sandwiches were melting in mouth (not in a good way). Felt like nothing to chew. The bread is ok at best. Nothing you couldn’t do at home. The Reuben’s “sauerkraut” was more some kind of tasteless pickled cabbage. The Caprese had 2 leaves of basil, 1 slice of tomato and a bit of Mozza. Basically just eating mediocre bread at this point. The Mozzarella was pretty good though. Decent variety of snacks too. Don’t be in a rush, the service is pretty slow even when the place is empty. WAY overpriced and underwhelming. We left still hungry and went to Sugar Taco to eat something satisfying...
