Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Long Beach

In the past I'd give this place 5 stars. I probably would again. But last time I visited, the wings were not fresh and hot out of the fryer. My daughter and I visited/entered shortly after they opened. I believe we were literally the only customers there on arrival.

Service was great and the wings came fast. But they were barely above room temperature and they were more chewy than anything. Weird! Honestly, I can't believe I didn't complain. Thing was in retrospect was I hadn't seen my daughter in a long time and was simply focused on my time with her. 8 kept thing the next wing would be better. Didn't happen.

I'm still seriously disappointed in what I was served. Normally it's always fantastic. Like the best! I just wonder what happened. Did they warm them up from last night's leftovers? I could have done better with frozen wings at the supermarket. And that ain't saying much. But for the price and place, they should never do this to their customers.

I'll likely return again, but believe you me...should this EVER happen again, I'll call them on it!

Regarding this visit, I'm being darn generous giving 3 stars. But the waitress was a sweetheart of a girl. She made up where the kitchen failed.

I'm still 😡 everytime I think about this. Lastly, this was the first time I had visited this particular location. I guess patron beware? Hope it was a fluke because otherwise I'd only and always have positive things to say.

I still like Buffalo Wild Wings. But I may tend to select another restaurant next time I'm in the mood. Hard to shake a bad experience.

UPDATE: Evidently Buffalo Wild Wings read my review and reached out to me. I had to provide documentation to the authenticity of my visit but as it turned out, they apologized for my bad experience. I spoke with Kimberly, who was understanding and concerned what had happened. I have to say I'm rather pleased they bothered to take the time to contact me and make things right, which they indeed did. Outside this one unfortunate experience, in the past I have always enjoyed dining here. I will now gladly return again.

I'm moving my 3 stars to 5....

My friend and I had a rough start to our week and were trying to make it better by getting dinner and drinks together. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive (there were only maybe 5-6 tables being used so it wasn’t busy) no problems with her. We ordered our drinks, i asked if I could get one of their mixed redbull drinks with vodka instead of tequila due to dietary restrictions and our waitress said that was no issue. When we got our drinks my friend fished a fly out that was floating inside the drink (it wasn’t on top so it didn’t just land in there, it was in the middle of the drink). I noticed my drink smelt like tequila and after we both tasted it, could tell it was made with tequila. We asked the waitress if the drinks could get remade and she said of course. After talking with the bartender she returns with my same drink saying the bartender says it right. The bartender remade my friends drink because of the fly (but glared at us the rest of the time we ate our meal after). At this point, i felt bad for wanting a new drink because the bartender obviously was annoyed, so I tried to drink my drink which still tasted like tequila and decided to just take the L. I still paid 15$ for my drink to be made “with tito’s” (I honestly wanted to ask the waitress to try it because I always swap tequila for vodka because it makes me sick and i’ve never had a drink still taste like tequila when i’ve done that) and they almost charged us twice for the drink that got remade because of the fly, but they comped one of the charges so that’s a little better. I arrived with my wife and 2 17 year old daughters, looks promising as the hostess seats us and the server takes our order. It all goes downhill from there, daughter 1 orders her shrimp sandwich , the server comes back and tells her, sorry no shrimp, ok whatever, take the sandwich without shrimp, in all fairness a substitute product was offered. Now food for mom comes out , wait 10 minutes and another dish comes out, and the dishes come at 10 minute intervals, oh and when you bring a dish that requires tools to eat, it is really helpful if you provide them straight away. By this time we have 3 dishes and daughter 2 is still waiting, after 20 minutes minutes go by from plate 1 finally ask what is going on with her plate, she had a salad too, probably the simplest dish, I believe it was forgotten. I had a burger and fries, I held off eating until my daughters both had their plates in front of them. At the end of the meal the server asked how was your meals, I explained to her that the meals need to reasonably come out within minutes of each other, not always but certainly not 15 minutes between dishes, server speaks with her manager and comes back with a 4 dollar military discount and some free appetizer coupons.
